  1. Indeed, for a decade or so at GM Continental, I did line balancing, and the more options the harder it gets to balance the line jobs without messing with the scheduling/sequence of the to-be-build cars.
  2. Yep, they think in cents per unit. But sometimes odd decisions are made. Remember way back in the'90s at Opel/GM power windows were cheaper to produce than manual roll-up/down units, yet marketing insisted on having the option to have manual units, too.
  3. Guys, just the fact that he gets even pre-production kits from Revell, Moebius, Round2, and a few other manufacturers should tell you all that they back him. It again points out who is the biggest buying, building, and enjoying group of modelers, and without their buying power, the hobby we all love will suffer greatly. Just my 2 cents.
  4. This one next? https://ford.shorthandstories.com/2025-ford-bronco-stroppe-special-edition/?fbclid=IwY2xjawF7oYtleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHZZpFMd3QIr_b2hGt-B9IgkZdaFgmAGFldUnPLK3IQ_gRoe3WwS8Qhd-PA_aem_I062sVLLOmSOS6SHeM0ZpA Bronco
  5. Always like the design, which I got to know thru the TV series Jake and the Fatman, cuz I think I never seen the Lincoln in the flesh, at least in my neck of the woods. Anyway...I was happy to obtain a copy of this kit, through a US friend.
  6. Hope the '72 Demon, IMHO styling wise a bit better, performance-wise I dunno, what can I say I vote with my eyes
  7. The full front bumper modification of the Mueller-Montgomery-Carlock era '70 Camaro tool, was probably a costly lesson. Also, the way the tooling is designed doesn't allow much leverage in swapping and adding existing or newly created inserts. Remember the sixty 2'n 1 Ford Galaxie, where they had to run the tooling in two different configurations to get all the necessary parts for that kit, which meant clipping off dual parts on the packaging line, which, IMHO, is a trainwreck in the making. The only way to make siblings for the pre-CAD file kits is to scan them and work from there, incorporating new part versions and, more importantly, designing a cluster of tooling that can be run in different configurations, streamlining the production and packaging process to minimize the chance of errors. I think Round2 is on top of things. Is there room for improvement? Sure, but in the end, ROI is what counts, pays the wages, running costs, the investors and also finances future developments. Personally, I would like them to have a better and cheaper distributor for the EU, one that thru R2 can order a container directly from China, maybe Glow2B the owner of Heller can be that company, which eliminates excessive shipping, the cost that come with it and in the mean time restoring an old partnership and reduce the price disadvantage they now have, compared to their direct competitor; Revell. Just my 2 cents
  8. Oops totally forgot James, must be getting old Thanks for the pic Rob!
  9. Is that Charger, the wide body?
  10. Well, both Erik Solie and Dave Metzner of Moebius Model participate in this forum and In the past Tim Boyd has done an online build here. And to end there is also Sean Svendsen who does box art for them and build-ups too. So, I'm pretty sure that when they get the approval from Ford, lotsa info will find its way to this forum.
  11. Just saw an unboxing of this kit on youtube, looks great!
  12. IMHO the heart chooses a two-door, but practicality forces us into a two-doors too many type of vehicle.
  13. Yeah was drooling over my copy, luckily everything was bagged
  14. Can't one just use the complete chassis from the '68'69? Wondering
  15. IIRC the drip rail of both the amt '64 and the Moebius '65 kits in the C-pillar area are the same.
  16. It makes sense since they already have a kit of the '65.
  17. Cool, it has C side striping!
  18. Wanna see what subject matter our American and Canadian friends will pick. Thanks in advance for participating. Cheers! Luc
  19. Just learned of the passing of Raymond Gallant, a Canadian modeler, who was one of the earliest members of the Hobby Heaven forum back in the day and continued to be, till a few weeks ago. Rest in peace Ray! Raymond «Ray» Gallant (1947-2024) Neguac - Hommage NB Original source: RIP, Raymond Gallant *LINK* (spotlighthobbies.com)
  20. Got the Commodore, as does my dad.
  21. Thanks for the heads-up Tim. I appreciate it. And yes who knows what the future might bring. Cheers Luc
  22. Very doubtful a model kit of this one will be done but I can dream no?! a ‘71 Opel Commodore GS/E coupe, as seen in the movie cold sweat
  23. Would be neat to revisit them, last time was in '05, maybe someday....
  24. Due to the graphics IMHO the '79 spider version would be neat. What was the last mpc anual, the '80? And if there is, what's the difference between the '79 and '80?
  25. What Mark says....If both the Plymouth and Dodge kits were designed simultaneously, common parts would've been grouped together and specific to model and version on separate trees.
