  1. An excellent build, and example of a quintessential car of that era. Everything looks period-correct, and I think that’s why it’s such a convincing replica.
  2. It is nice, go with Dave’s Ultra Roof. With FG and P&P gone, I believe the only source for that roof upgrade is Dave and Shapeways, and Dave’s is better. I think you can get daycab panels from GW Trucks, if I remember correctly. FG did have nice parts.
  3. Good. Good. I’ve been patiently waiting, regretting not getting one last time, yet refusing to pay the ridiculous prices they’re going for on eBay and at the shows.
  4. Outstanding! Wow, that’s incredible detailing under the hood - the highest level in realism.
  5. Good possibilities. Thanks for posting.
  6. Interior is looking good. And yes, HDTs are typically less expensive, safer (braking power), stronger and more durable than the more common dually pickups.
  7. Another interesting and unique project.
  8. Great project idea. I share your affinity for everything RV related, I believe it’s a love passed down from generation to generation, as I’ve been camping since I was a kid. I’ve been to the RV museum too, and I was able to tour a couple manufactures while I was camping in Northeast Indiana a few years ago, including Showhauler. I have a E450 chassis class C, but of course, I’d like to upgrade someday to something built on a class 8 truck chassis. Until I can have a real one, building models of them will have to do. For the Smart Car, Revell made a 1/24 kit that came out years ago. I’m not sure how rare they are, but here’s a pic. I can’t imagine the kit was very popular, but odd subjects sometimes fill a void, like in this case. Anyway, good luck on this project, I’m certainly a fan that’ll cheer this one on.
  9. Thanks! Eventually, I would like to scratch build a matching stacker trailer for it. As of right now, I’m going to build more of a standard-type enclosed trailer from a Galaxie Limited kit, modified a bit.
  10. That’s really too bad, but I understand it wasn’t under the club’s control. I’m disappointed, but not surprised. I specifically visited the forum tonight to check on this, assuming it would be a strong possibility it would be cancelled. I wasn’t able to make either show in 2019, so I was especially looking forward to it. Thanks so much for always putting on a great show. It’s been a wonderful experience, and I’m looking forward to November.
  11. Thanks for posting this. A lot of interesting items, including a Mack Ultraliner. I wasn’t at all familiar with this aftermarket provider. With the OP, I would love to see someone attempt that conversion, it would be cool. Robbos’ cab and sleeper would make the job faster. Scratch building/modifying the hood conversion would be no small feat, regardless.
  12. There are plenty of examples out there of people using both the wheels and tires from 1/32 semi kits on their 1/25 dually pickup kits. I’ve never measured them, but they seem to look pretty close to 16” wheels in 1/25 scale. However, they are 10 lug/hole aluminum wheels, and 16” wheels are usually 8 lug/hole wheels, even the fancy covers that go over the typical plain 16” one ton 5 hole steel wheels. Unless you’re not picky about it, there are nice aftermarket wheels for duallys. Scenes Unlimited has several excellent varieties.
  13. These could be useful. You should post this in the truck aftermarket topic area.
  14. Absolutely. I could not agree more. We tend to forget that the quality of builds we see, and techniques we discuss on this forum are not typical.
  15. Very unique. I’m curious how you did the water bottles. Very effective.
  16. I love the missing door on the body. Nice touch.
  17. Thanks Ben. I remember you built conversion coaches and similar vehicles. On the model, I got the resin vent lids from you a few years back. I have several other parts from you that will find themselves on future conversion builds. Thanks again.
  18. The steer tires and most of the drives are from Jamie at Moluminum. The other tires are Moebius, along with the front wheels. The rear five-hole wheels are from KJ at Double Take. These are great kits, like I said, but they have a few shortcomings, like the wheels and tires. Nothing that can’t be fixed.
  19. Here’s mine, I built it a year ago. The snap Peterbilt kits have a lot of potential, there’s a huge amount of variations on the forum.
  20. Thanks, super c’s are great, wish I could have one some day. A Unimog Overland would be an awesome and unique build.
  21. Thanks JT! Maybe I’ll go orange in the future. ?
  22. Thanks Gator, glad you’re back.
  23. Another great looking truck
  24. Excellent job, really nice upgrades. A fine looking model.
