  1. This build has a great custom look to it. And yeah, I’d be afraid to get it dirty too.
  2. Beautiful truck, I like the color scheme. Engine looks great too.
  3. Thanks everyone so much for the comments! I’d like to build a stacker trailer for it eventually. For now, I’m going to build one of the galaxie enclosed trailers I have, and that’ll work until I build the matching stacker. A boat would be good too. Really, any toys to haul somewhere for fun.
  4. Both the bus and the buildings look awesome!
  5. I’m pleased to announce that this build is now in the Under Glass section of the forum. Now...on to building a trailer for it.
  6. My first major scratch building endeavor, a 1/24 scale 34’ RV conversion on a Revell Ford Aeromax 120 cab and chassis. The project began over 5 years ago, but the majority of it was built in the past two months. A huge thanks to everyone on the forum that encouraged the build along the way. The RV body is a scale 24’ long with a 42” bunk, typical of the single rear axle units. These class 8 truck conversions, ever increasing in popularity, are a favorite amongst weekend race teams. I based this one off of 1:1 toterhomes built by NRC Modifications. Other popular custom builders include Showhauler and Renegade. Power is supplied by a Italeri 12.7l Detroit Diesel Series 60. It rides on real aluminum wheels from MCA, and Bridgestone tires from Moluminum and Double Take Replicas. Next on the workbench is the trailer, so there will be more to come. Thanks for checking it out!
  7. The RV body is just about finished. Added the details, like clearance, marker, and tail lights, backup camera, license plate, porch light, door grab handle, awnings, and the modern style frameless windows. The windows are tinted, and you can just barely see the shades behind them, though you really can’t tell in the pics. If all goes as planned, I should have the project under glass this weekend. It’s been fun.
  8. Cool! I like the light weathering, it wouldn’t stay clean on those country roads!
  9. The best example of this kit I’ve seen. Nice upgrades, subtle and convincing weathering.
  10. I used two sets from Italeri’s Volvo VN 780’s latest release, modified a bit.
  11. Thanks guys! Another quick update... Paint and decals are done, I think. Now I’m on the final lap with adding mostly rooftop parts, awnings, and the windows. There’s also few things to do on the cab and chassis before it joins the RV body. On a side note, I finally turned over the cutting mat. It was fairly new when this project started (and stalled), seen it’s share of glue drips and paint spills since.
  12. A quick update, I’ve got the two tone paint laid down, just did the black below the floor line. Watching the paint dry...
  13. Just got them in the mail - excellent parts!
  14. Thanks. They’re both Scenes Unlimited. I used a bumper mount posing as a full Reese hitch because there’s not much of a frame on the model to mount the full hitch to, but I still added some plastic under there to attach it and make it appear like a full one and less like a regular bumper mount hitch.
  15. Hahahaha!
  16. Looking forward to them, just placed an order. Thanks for bringing out a very cool upgrade.
  17. Nice work! I wasn’t familiar with this Cadillac offering, but I think I like the flat top over the other ‘59 variants.
  18. Excellent job. That’s a rare model to see, and it looks great!
  19. The coach body is just about ready for paint. The hobby gods should be pleased with all of the sacrifice in sanding I’ve had to do. Still a lot more to go, but I can see the finish line.
  20. What an excellent model, exceptional weathering!
  21. Looks like it means business.
  22. Same for me, as a kid I worked harder to learn them, as an adult, there’s other things that demand my time. That, combined with the power of nostalgia, makes most of the new stuff not as interesting to me.
  23. Got more work done on the RV body, mainly below the floor line and the side door with the retractable step. I also made the interior window frames and shades. Next will come the roof and bay doors/lower trim. Lots of sanding and filling. But, I’m loving this project. I hope it’s the first of several enjoyable conversions.
