  1. That’s really too bad, but I understand it wasn’t under the club’s control. I’m disappointed, but not surprised. I specifically visited the forum tonight to check on this, assuming it would be a strong possibility it would be cancelled. I wasn’t able to make either show in 2019, so I was especially looking forward to it. Thanks so much for always putting on a great show. It’s been a wonderful experience, and I’m looking forward to November.
  2. Thanks for posting this. A lot of interesting items, including a Mack Ultraliner. I wasn’t at all familiar with this aftermarket provider. With the OP, I would love to see someone attempt that conversion, it would be cool. Robbos’ cab and sleeper would make the job faster. Scratch building/modifying the hood conversion would be no small feat, regardless.
  3. There are plenty of examples out there of people using both the wheels and tires from 1/32 semi kits on their 1/25 dually pickup kits. I’ve never measured them, but they seem to look pretty close to 16” wheels in 1/25 scale. However, they are 10 lug/hole aluminum wheels, and 16” wheels are usually 8 lug/hole wheels, even the fancy covers that go over the typical plain 16” one ton 5 hole steel wheels. Unless you’re not picky about it, there are nice aftermarket wheels for duallys. Scenes Unlimited has several excellent varieties.
  4. These could be useful. You should post this in the truck aftermarket topic area.
  5. Absolutely. I could not agree more. We tend to forget that the quality of builds we see, and techniques we discuss on this forum are not typical.
  6. Very unique. I’m curious how you did the water bottles. Very effective.
  7. I love the missing door on the body. Nice touch.
  8. Thanks Ben. I remember you built conversion coaches and similar vehicles. On the model, I got the resin vent lids from you a few years back. I have several other parts from you that will find themselves on future conversion builds. Thanks again.
  9. The steer tires and most of the drives are from Jamie at Moluminum. The other tires are Moebius, along with the front wheels. The rear five-hole wheels are from KJ at Double Take. These are great kits, like I said, but they have a few shortcomings, like the wheels and tires. Nothing that can’t be fixed.
  10. Here’s mine, I built it a year ago. The snap Peterbilt kits have a lot of potential, there’s a huge amount of variations on the forum.
  11. Thanks, super c’s are great, wish I could have one some day. A Unimog Overland would be an awesome and unique build.
  12. Thanks JT! Maybe I’ll go orange in the future. ?
  13. Thanks Gator, glad you’re back.
  14. Another great looking truck
  15. Excellent job, really nice upgrades. A fine looking model.
  16. This build has a great custom look to it. And yeah, I’d be afraid to get it dirty too.
  17. Beautiful truck, I like the color scheme. Engine looks great too.
  18. Thanks everyone so much for the comments! I’d like to build a stacker trailer for it eventually. For now, I’m going to build one of the galaxie enclosed trailers I have, and that’ll work until I build the matching stacker. A boat would be good too. Really, any toys to haul somewhere for fun.
  19. Both the bus and the buildings look awesome!
  20. I’m pleased to announce that this build is now in the Under Glass section of the forum. Now...on to building a trailer for it.
  21. My first major scratch building endeavor, a 1/24 scale 34’ RV conversion on a Revell Ford Aeromax 120 cab and chassis. The project began over 5 years ago, but the majority of it was built in the past two months. A huge thanks to everyone on the forum that encouraged the build along the way. The RV body is a scale 24’ long with a 42” bunk, typical of the single rear axle units. These class 8 truck conversions, ever increasing in popularity, are a favorite amongst weekend race teams. I based this one off of 1:1 toterhomes built by NRC Modifications. Other popular custom builders include Showhauler and Renegade. Power is supplied by a Italeri 12.7l Detroit Diesel Series 60. It rides on real aluminum wheels from MCA, and Bridgestone tires from Moluminum and Double Take Replicas. Next on the workbench is the trailer, so there will be more to come. Thanks for checking it out!
  22. The RV body is just about finished. Added the details, like clearance, marker, and tail lights, backup camera, license plate, porch light, door grab handle, awnings, and the modern style frameless windows. The windows are tinted, and you can just barely see the shades behind them, though you really can’t tell in the pics. If all goes as planned, I should have the project under glass this weekend. It’s been fun.
  23. Cool! I like the light weathering, it wouldn’t stay clean on those country roads!
  24. The best example of this kit I’ve seen. Nice upgrades, subtle and convincing weathering.
