  1. The rolling chassis is complete! had to mock it up to check the stance. It looks good! It has had a few coats of Zero primer, and now a few coats of Tamiya white primer (From a can) now it will get Zero White "gloss" that ends up flat... target for Sunday morning... as by Sunday night all my modelling stuff needs to be packed for the house more next week....
  2. Hey all, Slow progress on my 3 main bench kits at the moment, as we are finally moving house, and i've spent a lot of time packing... Still left out a few modelling things to get a bit of progress. This is my first attempt at using Tamiya TS for a good finish. I've also never used the clear before. after a few light coats of italian red I've added the clear, and the results straight off the bat are impressive. It's cold in my converted garage this time of year, but it turned out acceptable. I'm considering to just polish and not sand at all. one strange effect was the receeding of the red away from the edges of the vent ducts on the nose. this is only weired as it was fine when it was just the red, but upon adding the clear, it drew it back. it's difficult to see in the image as the reflection of the light makes it look worse than it actually is. Anyway, this will be polished in the new house!
  3. I'm assuming that the camouflage was done manually, it is a great finish!
  4. This f250 looks superb, the load in the back makes it look realistic too!

  13. Hey Tomo, thanks, and it is a great kit, excellent detail, and really check - £13 new from a hobby store. Great Engine there too Kurt! Thanks Mariojr! We have a chassis an interior tub completed now, Jut got to do some cleaning up and final assembly...
  14. I've struggled to ge thtese decals off: I've soaked on tissues - didn't wort I've soaked with daco stronc decal softening solution - no movement I've soaked for 48 hours in water - nothing and with oven cleaner (Mr muscle) all it did was bleech out the print, the actual decal substrate remained... so I'm going to have to sand and respray!
  15. I have been motivated to complete this before my house move! even though I should be packing my kit now! here is the interiro tub finished. Thanks to Dr Trevor T\ylor for the replacement decals, it's given me the kick I needed toget this one done

  22. the Ford GT is a stunning car, and your's looks great!
  23. Excatly the same thing happened to me! but I made this kit donkey's years ago - and I didn't want to spray it! so mine has a dark shade for the engine cover! your's looks fantastic though. Many people don't like this car, as it's not as visually appealing as teh F40. But I love it! and the GT version was my favourite on Xbox Forza when I had time to game....
  24. Dann, Rider and Justin, Thanks for the comments guys!
