Real good stuff here - looking forward to what you do with that '58 Pontiac. But I think our furry friend here needs a ride to the nearest Esso station!

Good find, Tom! I've got one I've been messing with (and need a rear bumper for). The chassis has issues I've fixed: Cutting out and sinking the front suspension about 1/8"-5/32" lets it sit level, and a lot of trimming and filling got rid of that "udder" in the rear. Opening up the rear window helped reduce the toylike look... and I used wheels and tires from the IMC VW with the Hubley hubs. Good luck with the glass - it may be a bit shrunken because Hubley used some sort of acetate. Have fun with it!

The '63 Nova's not so bad - the depressions between the bars are deep enough that I was able to grind them out from behind. The Falcon - well, yeah.

"Bet that's a job and a half..." There's a real good set of clamps on the AMT '62 Catalina's battery; after having whittled away most of said battery (and part of my sanity) to get at the darn things, I may cast them next time.

Keep 'em coming - love these land yachts! If you want to tackle a '76 Electra, I have some photos of an 8,000 mile original I can post.

...little interruption here!

Doesn't AirTrax make that Anglia? Ford imported some here in the early '60s (I guess for those who thought a Falcon was too big ).

The '61-'62 trucks get parted out on eBay fairly often as well; the last hood to go up bid to $10.50 and a set of Modelhaus front and rear bumpers went for $8.00. The hood side ornaments went for $21.50 - might as well buy them, cast them, and resell them.

No, those are the AMT original issue '65 Dodge wheelcovers; also found on the clear trailer. -
'59 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer Mild Custom!

I like it immensely! Those Forward Look Dodges were a bit, um... ornate, so the cleanup helps a lot. Are those Modelhaus Chrysler wire wheels? -
A perfect recreation of a period hot rod! You should post it in the Sunday Models thread over at the H.A.M.B. - they'll go crazy over it.

What a great idea! Did you have to alter the length of the roof or the bed to make it fit?

Sweet little coupe! A stocker's on my someday-to-build list.

I bet the '54 Buick Skylark has the right chassis - that's how much the body has shrunk. They usually look like this now. Nice color combo on the Edsel! (Last one is a '58 Pontiac Bonneville, not an Olds)

Yep - I'm the one who's always with Tom P. at the Model of the Month table. I brought the '58 Nomad.
