  1. Wow! Some fast starts out the gate this year! I'm still in the planning stages with the XLR. I did some sanding to get some initial smoothness to the body before priming and cut the top off and cut the hood out. Now I'm contemplating what to do about the wheel wells. I cut the wheel wells from the 'Vette body and taped them inside the XLR to get an idea of how I far I need to reduce the size before adding the tubs for the flares. It's not a whole lot, but it drastically affects the look of the car. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  2. Some might call it "understated elegance". I just call it sweet!
  3. VCG Resins has rails and some injector setups, and on the more pricier side, 3D Model Specialties on Shapeways has options that might require some creative adjustment. I just ordered their FI manifold for their BBC Brodix engine but plan to adapt it to a Ford engine.
  4. I really love the paintwork! Nice detail on the whole car!
  5. Very nice choice Dominik!! Definitely some exotics this time around!
  6. Nice weathering as well!
  7. Thanks Jim. I've tried beads in the past but maybe I had the wrong kind. I'll give seed beads a look.
  8. Have you contacted them yet? I'm sure they'd be glad to help. I've used their fine products before but never had to contact them.
  9. Hey All! Have any of you painted steel braided hose black to get the modern black hose look? I've compared two pics and they look identical except for the color and surface texture. I've read all of the recommendations for using braided products from Michael's etc. but I'm concerned about getting the AN fittings to work with those. Thanks for the help.
  10. Nice build!

  18. Sweet combo Pat!! You can pack a lot in the back of that wagon. I've only entered two so here's my pair.
  19. Dang! Nice Aston! I don't know if this has been posted before, but I think it's good reference material. http://jalopnik.com/meet-the-guy-who-drove-across-the-u-s-in-a-record-28-h-1454092837

  21. Wow! Must've taken a lot of skill and patience for something so small! Nice job.
  22. Thanks for the info Erik. I think I'll try the sample pack first so I can figure out what sizes to order in bulk since those are 1/35 scale.
  23. Nice start Steve! I just received my kit to build later this year and I appreciate the items you pointed out as issues. I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed them. Thanks for sharing your insights.
