  1. Yes! I swapped out the Monza V8 for a Vega Cosworth engine (stalled build) which would explain where it came from. Thanks.
  2. Awesome project!
  3. Its kinda like paint models, kinda. If you're going to use a new paint, test it first! When I was a warehouse analyst, and IT was issuing an upgrade or patch, they put it on a separate system called a "sandbox". Then we tested it until it broke or didn't. I'd hazard to guess that they don't do that anymore because of "resource constraints". Fancy words for reductions in force prompted by a desire to reduce overhead. Plus, they use AI for a lot of coding now, and AI never makes mistakes! ?
  4. I was looking at the exhaust manifolds and my first guess was SBC, but the front cover threw me off. Turns out you're right. The pulley setup fits the water pump, but the water pump doesn't fit the front cover. Mystery solved! Thanks.
  5. Thanks Bill. At least there's a consensus on the Caddy engine. Doesn't matter where it came from anyway.
  6. It does resemble a Caddy engine. I've never had one of those kits but perhaps it was in another kit.
  7. Hey Gang! I do a fairly good job of keeping kit engines together that I haven't used in a bin. I put them in a small bag and label them. However I didn't label these two and have no idea what they are. Thanks.
  8. Welcome to the forum Nathan.
  9. Cool, cool! Always double tap! ?
  10. Nicely done!
  11. I agree with the proofreading issue, however I think that may not be the case here. I went to their site and selected a similar item. The first item below Is available "In store only", period. Meaning that this item is not shipped. Though I don't get why it can't be available for pickup. The second item is shipped and is also available in store and available for pickup. I don't go to Michaels for any paint because at my local store they don't even bother to sort the stuff. They just throw it in wherever it fits.
  12. Welcome!
  13. I dunno, we just do!! ?
  14. I printed this Crosley body from a free file on Cults3d with some alterations I made prior to printing it. Now I need to grind out the wheel wells to fit the slicks, and figure out the body mounts. The chassis is from the Mooneyes dragster kit. I had to design some adapters to move the rear wheels to behind the driver to make it work in this config tho. I also need to narrow the front axle. The engine will be the SBC from the kit but I'm not sure whether which blower setup I'll use, the upright or Potvin.
  15. Killer!!
  16. I started with TC and worked up to a std CAD program. https://www.tinkercad.com/dashboard/designs/3d Its fairly easy to use. You can also copy someone else's design and build off of it. There may be some vids on YouTube. There's also folks on Cults3D that sell files specifically for FDM printing.
  17. Cool! I must say I've never seen that kit before. Well done.
  18. Its good if they're using resin, but most libraries only have FDM because they don't have fumes and are considered safe.
  19. Well done!
  20. Actually yesterday, but anyway: I started on this V8 Custom Corvair build in 2020 and botched the paint so I shelved it. Now I'm back on it and close to completion. Paint is on and ready for some light buffing and adding accessories.
  21. I would not recommend full strength PP. I had a part destroyed by it, though I soaked it for a day. I've had a few resins as well, but all I've ever used was Dawn dish detergent with a brush and never had any issues. All you're trying to do is remove the mold release agent, which anything that cuts grease will do. Never used powdered cleanser but I'm sure it does the job, too.
  22. Interesting! I've never seen that before. Do you have the latest Chitubox? I have V2.1. You can also try it in another slicer. I use Lychee mostly.
  23. Nice build!
