Been a minute so apologies. I got the engine done finally. Just wired it yesterday. The coil will be fender or firewall mounted, thus the loose wire. I designed an accessory drive setup in order to have power steering and AC and printed it as a unit. I used cloth electric tape for a belt. I also designed and printed the air cleaner. I also did the exhaust manifolds so that the engine would fit within the frame rails. The headers just made it too wide. As for the chassis; its almost done but needs suspension parts, e.g. sway bars, steering setup, etc. I changed the wheels to a simpler design because I realized that the ones I'd chosen had a single center lug. I'll use Molotow to chrome the outer rim and center section when the build is near done. The plan is to spray the base white today. The last pic shows my inspiration.

Yeah, its pretty normal though there may be some remedies I don't know about. I try to position my model to have the supports at the least likely area to matter if it has marks while keeping islands to a minimum.

What slicer are you using? Its simple to do in Lychee, which has a slider for that. Realize tho that as you reduce the tip diameter you reduce the contact area which can cause the print to fail. I only reduce the tip size on smaller areas of the print, not to reduce scarring.

Yes, there is a second step to converting a scan to a printable file. From a previous search I did what I found was a. you need to clean the file up by eliminating any background and reflections. b. you need to import it to some kind of CAD program to convert it. I don't know the intricate details because I stopped reading at that point. I suggest doing a search on it. There's a ton of info out there and I don't know what you're using so I can't help any further.

I use it quite a bit. Since I'm a slow builder I have my build pics posted there. I also use it to share photos with family. My wife doesn't trust the free photo storage apps because they will hijack your pics for their own purposes, and I password protect them on Fotki so only those we want to see them can access them.

Not everyone has a place, or freedom to own a printer. There are valid reasons why people can't/won't own them.

Like some others I've gone to small doses of about 30 minutes multiple times a day. My shop is starting to get confiscated for storage and I think its reducing my desire to be down there. I did increase my time to get the Corvair done so maybe its a motivation thing.
