Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Though not exactly the same, I found these while rummaging around in my hubcap stash. With some wash in the spoke grooves they could be a good alternative if you can't find the correct ones. Dunno what kit they came out of. Maybe someone else can ID them.

Fantastic work you've done! Your conversion from sketch to product is incredible. I agree with your comment on the pixels. I just upgraded to a Elegoo Mars 9K and the detail is excellent, as well as the reduced depth of print lines. Well worth it.

Sweet outcome!

You may need to find someone to design & print a set. The bottom one looks fairly easy to design. I've never done spoke wheels before so I don't know how hard that is but its beyond my skill set.

Any guesses what engine is in this car?

Bill is right on the money with his reply. Also, even if the scales were accurate you're talking about a barely perceptible diff between the two scales to anyone but a very nictpicky viewer. Using an online reference for the 2nd gen Hemi that had it at 30" in 1:1, then plugged that into a scale converter the scale diff is only 1.27 mm, or 0.05". I personally use the eyeball test. If it looks right, I use it. Personally, I'm a traditional Chevy man, but I back using something other than a Chevy IMHO. ? -
Anyone know a source for this color?

Thanks David. -
And it doesn't end with mechanical parts either! I had a 2005 Chevy Equinox that got tapped on the side by someone in a hurry to leave Starbucks. Long story short, the dealership replaced my rear passenger door with an aftermarket piece since that's the only thing Nationwide would approve. Two years later it started rusting while none of the factory doors even had surface rust. Even though I kept the car clean that door rusted. It was probably compromised since day one.

Alternator case fix questions
MeatMan replied to Bucket T's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree with those who say replace the housing. I used to do that when I worked at a parts store during the time frame that Datsun was new and its not that difficult to do. If you can find a good housing, any decent back yard mechanic can do it. They just have to make sure they use the proper method to secure the brushes prior to separating the halves. Good luck. -

I think this is a perfect opportunity to build it based on the info Ace gives in his response since it was possibly a local racer since no other pics seem to exist of it. Lots of info available from just looking at it. Note the long traction bars, the squared exhaust outlets and the weird hood scoop. You can also see a roll bar crossbar. I say have at it. I'd enjoy seeing a build sequence of it. -
What happened to 'GEORGE KLASS REMEMBERS'?

Wow! Sad to hear. One of my fav references. -
Great project!

Compensation for inadequacies no doubt. ?

Welcome Ken!

Yes indeed it is the Moebius kit. I love their quality and attention to detail as well.
-
Thanks. I love the kit as well. This is the second time I've built it. The first one I made into a lowrider, but since I did I read more about the actual car and wanted to do a stock one for my class of '56 stable. My birth year.

Thanks, I did edit the pic with some better photos the next day.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I do appreciate it.

So I finally got this "slump buster" done. Mostly box stock but I did wire the distributor out of habit. Thanks for looking.

It looks like titanium but I've bought a couple of different brands that don't come close. I know that phones & computer monitors display colors differently but I'd like to come close. Thanks.
-
Beautifully done! I'm wrapping up my 56 and now I'm leery about posting it because its the same color.

Nicely done!

If you are talking about the Photos app, its available as Photos Legacy. I think I downloaded it from the MS store but you might try to search for it in the Start menu.
