  1. Awesome build and I really enjoyed watching it come together.
  2. This is a fantastic idea for a build and it looks like you're doing wonders at pulling it all off. Definitely original!!!!!!
  3. Looks perfect so far!!!! I agree with Jim..............I won't even try it though. lol
  4. Man just look at that gloss shine!!!!!!! I always enjoy seeing your paint jobs come alive Tim!!! This is gonna be one sharp Camaro is all I've gotta say.
  5. Yep....................I'm in on this one!!! This is outstanding..............
  6. Glad to hear everything is working out so far James. I stayed in a hotel for an extended period once while looking for a place to live for my wife and I and felt like a fish out of water but knew that it wouldn't last forever. Hang in there pal.
  7. Thanks Steve and Jeremy. Just trying not to move too fast.
  8. Been there lots of times. Go slow and the right "feel" will come to you. Sometimes I'll stall out in a build because I don't feel right about it. Doesn't mean I quit or nuthin, I just go into a lot of thought about it and out of the blue it'll hit me like a sack of potatoes and then I'm off in a good direction and with renewed interest again. What you've got looks good so far though.
  9. Lotsa research going into this one there JC!! Another fabulous build in the works. I'll get the popcorn out..........................
  10. I like the whole idea and it looks good so far!!! keep it up Steve.
  11. Progress is slow as I've got a lot going on right now. My sister in law threw a connecting rod right through the side of the engine block on her Toyota so I've been working on that and fixing some of the other stuff that's wrong with the car. She's hell on wheels with automobiles. Just drives 'em till they quit (and it doesn't take that long) N E ways............. I've got the alternator wiring harness and throttle return spring installed this morning. I've also been working on the heater hoses and retaining clamps for those.
  12. Keep the progress coming bud. Lookin' swell so far.
  13. Hmmm.............I've never tried the fingernail polish either Geoff. Will be watching to find out some tricks of the trade. I love the subject BTW. Never can see enough of these.
  14. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. That's a good lookin' truck Frank. I like all the details.
  16. Alright......... I brought this thing out of hiding from last year. I'm making a couple of tweaks to it for the Model Mania Show in Houston coming up at the end of April. I'm not one that goes to these shows that's just gotta win something but I'm hoping this ol' gal will at least place at the show because once those Foose F-100's hit the market they are gonna steal all thunder in regards to mid 50's F truck rods. This build is kind of sentimental to me in the fact that I failed to fully complete it as a kid. As a result I found myself wanting to build one for the last 25 years due to my failure to complete it so many years ago and for the fact that I just like how these trucks look. I'm not gonna go home bawling my eyes out if she doesn't win anything but it'd be cool to see a kit as old and terrible as this one was take something home.
  17. Retain that quality throughout the build. This is where the payoff is bud.
  18. Man you're really pulling out a lot all the stops with this build Art. Great tip on the blue anodizing process!! Totally awesome modeling here!!
  19. Thanks Dave and Jim. Thanks Hans. Yeah I had the original intake on there and it actually looked worse! lol . Some of that'll be hidden by the wiring harness. I've got the bolt patterns right on the rocker covers. Spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many years as an auto tech to miss that one. Thanks for all the comments and the constructive comments Hans.
  20. I can certainly agree with what Gene said. I build a lot of older kits and it takes a lot to whip 'em into shape but the results always seem to be worth it. Hang in there and post some pics Eric.
  21. Fantastic shine on that paint. Wow!!
  22. Your attention to detail just blows my freekin' mind Tim. Wow man! Those wheels and tires look great!!!
  23. Scoooooore!!! Way to go with that acquisition Roger!! I'd love to have one of those!!
  24. Verrry nice paint and foil work D.W.!!!
  25. Thanks Jeremy and Carl. I'll be back at this one again tomorrow morning. After letting it dry out over the weekend. I've got a couple of boo-boo's to straighten out with it still but they aint too big of a project.
