  1. Impressive diorama work.
  2. I like this build. The only addition I probably would have to add a sunvisor. That would of course further reduced the forward field of vision of the driver. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Does anyone know if this same front sheet metal was used on other commercial vehicles such as school buses? Our village ran a bus service during world war 2 for local factory workers in order to save gasoline during the rationing years.Local workers parked their cars in a common lot and were bused to work to nearby factories.I would like to replicate one of those buses and that '35 front clip would be a great start. Thanks in advance for any information.
  4. Looking very traditional and cleanly built. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Wowza!!Looking forward to seeing this in person at Columbus this weekend. This has been a super build to follow with tons of inspiration and great high resolution photos.Thank you for spending all the extra time it takes to stage and take these pictures.
  6. Thanks to my lovely wife's patience and smart phone skills I have the info I need.
  7. I like what you've done so far with this project. You should use what ever wheels YOU like, not what everyone else likes, your build, your choice.Great decision to not rush your '29 to make a deadline. That almost always ends in regret. Thanks for sharing!
  8. What are your Adult classes please?
  9. A fellow modeler here in west central Ohio told me he had attended a model conterst in Lima,Ohio area about this time every year that was sponsored by the owner of a transmission shop. That guy has sine moved to the Las Vega area and I was wonderng if anyone on the forums knew any details. Please let me know if you do.Thanks in advance!!
  10. Looks like it was a tough neighborhood considering the junk cars, graffitti and police on-scene:)
  11. I've never seen that kit before.Should make a pretty cool set up with 3 GTO's on-board.Don't feel intimidatd by what you on these forums,be inspired by them! Thanks for sharing.
  12. I know all about that constant list of potential future projects that constantly runs through your head! It's like a never ending car show/cruise dream that goes on and on.I call it my "head bone nationals".I have a big bulletin board on the wall next to my workbench and a sign at the top of it that says head bone nationals in big bold letters.
  13. I really like the rear end design theme with the trunk and continental kit. That all seems to blend in nicely with the chopped top. Thanks for sharing!
  14. IMHO the overall design theme is neat stuff and surely(I know...quit calling you Shirley)deserves to be continued. My first thought is that the overly wide wheels detract from the design.Maybe consider looking at the overall body profile directly from the side and consider building some wheel pods like the '29 Ford Art deco/streamliner/coach build seen on this same thread so that no tire shows at all like some Bonneville cars with covered wheels.I personally would try to mimic the rear deck profile at the rear and in front use the exposed/missing fender area as my starting point.Of course i'm also a little crazy but at least it's an idea.
  15. Would some one please post a link to Andy Martin. Thanks as always.
  16. Are the gauges custom decals or kit supplied?
  17. I have to admire your design work on this project.Extended the bumper lines into those enclosed front wheel wells works perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Thanks for offering to bring the headlamps along.I will probably be ordering a couple sets for future projects and want to see them in person first.
  19. I am really looking forward to seeing this in person in Columbus on the 18th!!
  20. I had forgotten about your WIP '34.You are a brave and determined builder my friend.Any progress on this lately?
  21. two things.First of all please tell me that the elm wood I see here will get a nice natural finish instead of being painted. Second and completely off subject I see a wide white wall peeking out from under that tarp in one of your photos on what looks like a lowered 40's or 50's vehicle.I have a covered car in my garage as well.Mine's a '48 Chevy. To paraphrase a current credit card commercial "what's in your garage"?
