I have several reasons to be glad you have chosen to share this build with us.First as a model builder I am enjoying following along with all of the posting of the WIP process.Great work.Secondly I live in Jackson Center,Ohio where the Airstream factory has been located since 1952.Every time I drive the one block to the end of our street I see Wally and Estell's gold trailer sitting in the factory storage lot along with others dating back to the 1930's. Thirdly I am vice president of our local historical society and am wondering if you have any photos of the original vehicle that you might be willing to share with our society for our collection. Thanks again for sharing photos of what certainly is a historical vehicle. Do you know if these trucks were built at the Cerritos,Ca plant or here in Ohio?

Great job and a different take on this kit.I like it a lot. -
I like the whole build and your photos are very crisp and sharp as well. Thanks for sharing.

Galaxie Limited's '48 Chevy Coupe
misterNNL replied to lordairgtar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I this Galaxie release is like all of those in the past we should buy all we think we'll ever build as soon as we see them.I remember thinking I would just get one of each of the other releases and pick up more later.I never saw them again. So See them, like them.buy them quick before they're all gone. -
Styrene storage, if anyone can use this
misterNNL replied to Superpeterbilt's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Thanks for sharing a very effective and easily dulpicated method for organizing our styrene.I leave mine in the packages as well that way if I'm photographing and maing notes for a tutorial I can reference the manufctuurer, part number and size being used for a particular photo. -
It's nice to have an open forum such as this for the exchange of ideas and techniques.I was inspired by the weathered models I had seen but never knew how it was done.I was never exposed to any military or railroad builders or their weathering techs during my 50+ years of model car building so this was all new territory for an old dog like me. Many thanks to those more experienced for being willing to share their knowledge with the rest of us!!

Thanks for posting these. There is obviously great lighting for that show and reading the numbers on your entries, over 700 models on display.

Nice version of the "bombshell Betty"Buick.Sometimes a quick curbside build is really fun isn't it?Often as not my cusrsides and becominf infected with overcomplicationitis and taqke longer than I originally intended.

Looking forward to seeing these available.I can't imagine trying to model with a brokjen wrist, gotta be tough and frustrating.I broke me left elbow in 6 places and left pelvis in 2 places over 30 years ago. Also had double pneumonia at the same time and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. That'll really cramp your style big time!! Glad you're on the mend.

Awsome stuff!I have nothing but admiration for artists that can produce that kind of work.

Great doors! Now on to paint and weathering I hope. Thanks for sharing.

I use ground up sidewalk chalk for weathering my dioramas. It's a lot cheaper than those expensive powders and comes in a lot of colors. After applying the chalk dust I seal it with flat clear rattle can paint,Rsther than actually grind the chalk I use an 80 grit sanding stick. The chalk sticks to the stick so I brush it off with a brass brush into a container

Forming windows out of thinner, clearer platic
misterNNL replied to landman's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I believe I would try making a template from paper or thin cardboard like the stuff reciepe cards are made from rather than waste the plastic(.Just a thought) -
Nice to see a four door model for a change. It's a shame that all of the model comanys concentrate on the high end or luxury offerings for their kits. Most of the cars I have been able to afford have been "more-doors".Great conversion work and attention to all of the important differences in the body details. Thanks for sharing.

Nice build on a kit that is difficult to do any really different and creative with. You certainly have accomplished that in spades. Thanks for sharing .

Bonneville Streamliner - Version 1.0 (Curbside)
misterNNL replied to Bernard Kron's topic in Model Cars
Nice model.I particularly like the photo taken on that hill(?) at the salt flats.Seriously, this is the only time I have ever seen this kit actually built.I remember seeing them for sale when they were new. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing the fully detailed version. -
great model.I love the paint color and quality of the finish you accomplished. Thanks for sharing.

I have done some price comparisons on-line and new fusee chain from england is $ 10.40 an inch plus postage and takes 3 weeks to ship.Used fusee chain on eBay(also from England)sells for $ 3.25 per inch plus postage and is in stock.
