  1. Use black metallic as a primer. I painted a Mustang Cobra with it.
  2. Very nice. Where did the year go? I started a lot but looking back I only completed a few. Maybe my building will pickup in retirement.
  3. Well thought out color scheme and the wheels let everyone know it's different. Two thumbs up on a one of a kind build.
  4. As a Mustang purist I'd wince at that since I see way too many "real" Mach1 and Boss convertibles already.
  5. In case you were wondering the 70 Mach1 interior WILL fit in the 69 Boss with just a little trimming. I will go that route instead of butchering the kit just to take out the roll bar mounts.
  6. My first car was a 67 Buick Special but I have been a Ford guy since the mid 70's. It would be cool to see someone make a correct body.
  7. I'd add to that having either the bodies molded in color (or white for the kit bashers) or even prepainted. My guess is even if a kid build a model these days they want to finish it in about an hour.
  8. Absolutely flawless and at first I thought you photoshopped a real engine picture in there. Five stars.
  9. That early sub is interesting. Is it 1800's?
  10. Filling in the side scoops is #1 on the list to convert it to a Boss 302. I went the lazier route and made a Boss 429 and. Mach1. I could have easily done a GT or plain jane sportsroof too.
  11. Cool paint scheme and very clean build.
  12. It fits but unless you have a glue bomb with maybe a trashed body I would not use it if it means not building or restoring an original AMT kit.
  13. And in one car - the Coutang.
  14. We can always hope for updates to fix the errors in the next release. Then again, it took almost 50 years to get this one so I will not hold my breath. Maybe that Palmer kit isn't looking so bad after all.
  15. Complaints aside remember how it was way back when.
  16. Love the Shelby and all the others. I wish I could say I built half as many. I have to stop starting on too many projects at once and not getting them completed. Perhaps my resolution will be too make a list of what I have in progress and set a goal to finish them one by one. Plus that and I need to lose 30 pounds too.
  17. Not sure how long ago it was but the car ended up in Australia. The playmate died in 2004.
  18. You could paint the cowl area black and do some other detailing. I've got quite a few 1/43 diecast Mustangs of varying quality and detail including the green one.
  19. Ordered the Boss 302 but it is not due for a few days. Nothing else on my wish wish except maybe the 1/12 GT500 that I never bought but wish I had. Like many years I bought more kits and built ups than that I built.
  20. Super realistic job under the hood and the paint and headlights look great.
  21. Nice to hear back. There is a wealth of knowledge on these boards. Due to some other posts a lot were probably wondering the same thing as Dale.
  22. Some times the most obvious things are sadly overlooked. Agree 1000% JC.
  23. According to the Mustang Recognition guide the deluxe interior was an option.
  24. The Shelby racing 69 T/A Bosses had white stripes but that they were not available on the street cars. I can foresee some racing version made out of this kit.
  25. Perhaps the Shelby museum in Vegas would be interested sometime down the road. I know a guy who donated all his vintage space toys (pre 60's) to the Smithsonian.
