  1. 20 years on Ebay and Paypal with no payment issues or fraud etc.. It is riskier to use a credit card or pay by check these days. It's not like you are asking them to buy bitcoins or other crypto currencies.
  2. Good price on Ebay. It's an older kit so supply would be limited to dealers and individuals. You could try Model Empire. I have been on Ebay 20 years and have had very few problems (usually from buyers and not sellers). Your parents are probably younger than me so they probably have a Paypal account.
  3. You got that right. Maybe $170.
  4. It is probably easier to just buy the Monogram 65 R model kit and use that one. HRM (Historic Racing Miniatures) may still make the part too.
  5. Love to see pictures as stuffing any Ford big block into a Mustang II is pretty unusual.
  6. Very nice attention to detail. Screens, gas overflow vent tube ( I assume) , etc.
  7. I was thinking Maserati too. There is a curbside resin kit of the Coupe by Fatory Hiro in 1/24.
  8. Learn something new every day. That car is beautiful. We need a model of one. Was it the ACE II? Looks like a MG and Jag mishmash.
  9. Question for anyone. When I get ready to prime a body I always glue the front and rear parts to the body of it's not a one piece so I can paint everything as one. I am afraid that if I don't the fit may not be what I expected and the paint finish may not be consistent and it seems a lot easier to put the complete body on a coat hanger stand for one step painting. Anyone have a reason for doing the parts separate? The only thing I can thing of is the chassis may not fit if the body is glued together first.
  10. No sure they were Ford V8 powered though s Ford may have not wanted to keep supplying engines to the UK.
  11. I built one a long time ago from the IMC kit (later reissued by Lindberg). I did not realize the blue interior was that bright but 25 years ago is was next to impossible to find color pictures of the original concept. Yes it is one of those kits that once is enough. For it's time is wasn't bad and is fairly accurate but there isn't much you can do other than build it stock. I have another unbuilt one and that Hotwheels idea is neat.
  12. You are correct it is not a Mach1 although it's easy to do if you add the shaker hood or Mach1 hood scoop, decals, a stock gas cap and either hub caps or Magnum 500's. With all that chrome a black wash would help tone it done a little. Ditto for the wheels and the Motolow pen is great for doing the chrome trim around the windshield, etc. Some side mirrors from maybe the AMT 67/68 and plain stipe decals as in the picture and your pony will be hard to tame. Keep building those nice Mustangs you do not see too often.
  13. Liking the new top very much. That is one of the few I do not have. It's a shame the engine were not sold separately - imagine all the kit bashing that could be done to replace the typical lousy AMT and MPC engines.
  14. I saw this Mach1 that I have never seen before. I wonder if it is a new release.
  15. I think she is pretty. Oh - the car - well - it is a Cobra and it's not pink or purple.
  16. No surprise I'm guessing they used the Pace car body and added the hood and ground effects. Painting it closer to the original color might add to the realism.
  17. That's for sure. To achieve what others have suggested (which would look cool) it would probably mean cutting up two bodies or slicing the roof separate from the door. Sometimes you just do not know what the outcome will look like until the sawing and gluing are done. I'll be following.
  18. Any Mustang is a good Mustang. Tell your parents you need an IPAD or laptop for school. You can never go wrong with a street or race version of a 65-66 Shelby.
  19. Engine looks right at home in there. Makes me mad it took about 30 years after the non Boss 429s were put in 69-71 Fords and showed up in the Torino kit.
  20. The blue streaks look awesome. That should be the Revell 1/24 427 released by Monogram too.
  21. LIKE x 10. Thanks for posting.
  22. Love the bright red and red line tires.
  23. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I know I was not the only one scratching my head. Excellent job on all of them given how we were not sure the source of the kits and all the improvements you did. Have you brought them to the NNL East before. I am sure if I saw them I would have a lot of pictures. Kudos the Brad @ HRM - he has made special parts for me as well. That will be our little secret.
  24. Is the Coupe the HRM with mods or the Gunze kit with more mods or one of the other resin Daytona kits. I do not remember any of them having opening doors.
