  1. You are correct it is not a Mach1 although it's easy to do if you add the shaker hood or Mach1 hood scoop, decals, a stock gas cap and either hub caps or Magnum 500's. With all that chrome a black wash would help tone it done a little. Ditto for the wheels and the Motolow pen is great for doing the chrome trim around the windshield, etc. Some side mirrors from maybe the AMT 67/68 and plain stipe decals as in the picture and your pony will be hard to tame. Keep building those nice Mustangs you do not see too often.
  2. Liking the new top very much. That is one of the few I do not have. It's a shame the engine were not sold separately - imagine all the kit bashing that could be done to replace the typical lousy AMT and MPC engines.
  3. I saw this Mach1 that I have never seen before. I wonder if it is a new release.
  4. I think she is pretty. Oh - the car - well - it is a Cobra and it's not pink or purple.
  5. No surprise I'm guessing they used the Pace car body and added the hood and ground effects. Painting it closer to the original color might add to the realism.
  6. That's for sure. To achieve what others have suggested (which would look cool) it would probably mean cutting up two bodies or slicing the roof separate from the door. Sometimes you just do not know what the outcome will look like until the sawing and gluing are done. I'll be following.
  7. Any Mustang is a good Mustang. Tell your parents you need an IPAD or laptop for school. You can never go wrong with a street or race version of a 65-66 Shelby.
  8. Engine looks right at home in there. Makes me mad it took about 30 years after the non Boss 429s were put in 69-71 Fords and showed up in the Torino kit.
  9. The blue streaks look awesome. That should be the Revell 1/24 427 released by Monogram too.
  10. LIKE x 10. Thanks for posting.
  11. Love the bright red and red line tires.
  12. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I know I was not the only one scratching my head. Excellent job on all of them given how we were not sure the source of the kits and all the improvements you did. Have you brought them to the NNL East before. I am sure if I saw them I would have a lot of pictures. Kudos the Brad @ HRM - he has made special parts for me as well. That will be our little secret.
  13. Is the Coupe the HRM with mods or the Gunze kit with more mods or one of the other resin Daytona kits. I do not remember any of them having opening doors.
  14. Well. - the Cobra gods are on your side. The link workder for me. Very nice Cobras.
  15. I cannot see anything.
  16. Now the old title is right. Seriously, very nice 289 also with the top which you do not see very often.
  17. I dedicded to do the same this year although I can probably paint until early November outside. I've shot about 12 bodies and may do a few more use in case I can actually build that many. The main issue here in the summer is the humidity. Spring and fall are the best time to paint.
  18. The Brat with a Zombie Apocolypse motif.
  19. Looks beautiful but I think that is the Monogram 427 Cobra.
  20. Sensational and such a sexy car.
  21. I think you're going to have to drive some distance since the closest cities are Buffalo and Youngtown OH and perhaps Pittsburgh.
  22. Great idea. I'd like to find some Ford grabber lime green and grabber green metallic paint.
  23. It's grabber lime. The grabber greeen was used on 1970 Fords. I think the lime was a one year only option too.
  24. Ditto on the color. What are the wheels from?
