I've been lucky enough to own two muscle cars in my life, a 1972 Chevelle and my current car, a 2015 Challenger. With the 2015 being styled after a 71 Challenger I have been wanting a good representation of a 71 R/T for awhile. Sadly, no one makes a 71 Challenger kit. I did a conversion a few years back, but I always felt like I could do better. I've been pretty low on money lately as my dad was in the hospital, (plus I wanted to get a few new kits) but I finally decided to pull the trigger on doing another conversion. During the process of building the model my father ended up passing away, so this build is dedicated to him. The resin conversion kit came from Hart's Parts. I've used them before and they're excellent conversions. The fit is great! The stripes are Keith Marks 71-74 Challenger decals I got off eBay. The kit itself is the newest version of the AMT 70 Challenger. It's not a great kit (see my previous post), but I was able to make a pretty descent conversion learning my lesson from the 70 Challenger I built a few weeks ago. Very nice -
That looks amazing. I've never been a fan of these cars, but that actually looks like something I wouldn't mind driving. In the early 2000s you used to see them everywhere in people's yards around the Charleston/Summerville area. Great job.

Looks good. I remember the first time I ever saw one, it was in these colors. I didn't even know they made an 80's Charger. It was in a campground I went to on a delivery.

Looks great. I did a conversion from the 72 kit to a 70, but it didn't come out so well. Looks OK, but not near this good.

That looks sick. Good job

Very Nice -
I'm going to add to your review and say get the Street Burner version from Revell. The other versions do not have the decals for the emblems either. I'm still looking for some to pop up on eBay. A friend got me the older kit as a Christmas present and I need the decal sheet with the badging. Looks good though.

Good color choice -
Very nice. Yeah, I had problems with the front end fit on mine.

Beautiful. I don't think I've seen a bad one yet. These ended up being a really good kit.

Finished this awhile ago, but haven't had the chance to upload it. My dad's been having some medical issues and I've been running around a lot more on my days off. The kit is one I just happened to have pop up in my suggestions on eBay. It looked like a good kit and I wanted a good representation of the car for my collection, so I decided to go ahead and purchase the kit. It was a pretty simple kit, but it looks great........for the most part. There was one flaw that you will see in my pictures. Still it came out looking pretty good. I went with the early version of the car before they started trying to make them look flashy. Very nice. Reminds me of the first car model I ever tried to do as an adult. It was a red T/A too.
