  1. Very nice. Matches my 58
  2. Looks a lot better than the one I got. Have to go back and re-paint mine.
  3. Looks good
  4. Fantastic job. Looks very cool.
  5. He did do a really good job and you should be proud. My dad got me started at a young age as well, but I had to learn everything myself. I actually find the pre-war cars a bit harder to build because there's a lot more pieces that go into them, the running board fit has to be just right with the body, and the also have a lot of small components that have to be just right for the rest of the pieces to sit on right. I love the finished products, but they are a pain to work on. If he can make something that nice, then he can build anything in my opinion. If you have an Ollie's near you I'd suggest shopping for some cheap models to work on. They have a good selection and the models are in the $5-20 range as opposed to the $25-30 shops outlets are charging now. It's a good way to get practice in without spending a lot of money.
  6. He did a really good job. He may rival me as a brush painter. You might break out some toothpicks and show him how to paint the windshield, door handles, and other trim. Maybe square off the paint on the wheel cover. It would make a good learning experience in detailing. Something I had to learn on my own through trial and error over the years.
  7. Looks a lot better than mine. I found one on Ebay a few years ago. It was built, but unpainted. However, they put the decals on it and I've debated whether or not to paint the model because those stripes are raised.
  8. Looks good, just picked one up myself
  9. Looks better than mine. Right now I'm waiting on another 70 Cuda kit. Stupid hurricane delayed its arrival. Ironically, it was due the day the storm hit.
  10. Um, I'd take Revell over any other model maker any day of the week. They at least know how to make a model that looks like the car they are trying to sell.
  11. Matches the one I did awhile back and never posted. I really thought they could have done a better job with the kit.
  12. This was always one of my favorite kits. Highly detailed, lots of decals, and the ability to make it Hurst or stock; the kit had everything you could want! SAM_2414 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2407 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2403 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr
  13. Hey Eric, what did you get for Christmas? ME: Broke!
