This car was a pain to build, and it took me a lot more time than it normally does to build, but it came out great. This is a pretty good kit to build, just a little challenging. Love the way the car looks.

Came out great. Not a bad kit.

Excellent work

Looks a lot better than mine did.

Been working on it all week. Came out pretty good. Had a bit of trouble with the decals. It was an old kit and they were hard to slide on. Then I accidentally tore the rear decal trying to remove some debris from the model before he clear coat dried.

Nice, been looking for the convertible version of one of these.

Kind of an up date on an older post. Got some better pictures and more of them,

Thought the car looked pretty cool, plus you never see many kits of the full size cars, so I picked it up.

Been questioning whether or not to get the kit as I hated the 68 kit. I must say this was worth the money and it came out looking not to bad.

Thoughts on any of the following

Other than the 69 Mustang and the 69 Firebird I found all the other models pretty good. I liked the Torino the best. -
I tried it before, but ran into problems with that too.

GREAT kit... not necessarily my build... 69 Nova

Looks good, but I'd have gone with the COPO. I think it was a better kit than the SS version. -
I got one of these kits as well. It's not bad, but like you said it is lacking in quite a few areas. I remember having trouble getting the bumpers to fit right. I do, however, like that it includes some custom parts that could be used on other cars. I used the wing spoiler from the kit on my 70 Cuda; which I was angry that a wing spoiler was not included with the kit.

It is brush painted. Don't have the money to spray it. I also had some trouble with the paint coming off when I put on the clear coat. I've never had that happen before, but I had to do some touch ups of the paint.
-
Not bad for a kit that was incomplete when I bought it. Wish it had emblem decals, but it came out great.

Looks Great

Looks good. I know the fit with this kit was an issue; I did one awhile back myself. I had an issue with the tail lights. They are too small to fit and kept falling into the hole. I had a similar chassis issue with the Chevelle model they make. The chassis sat too far back. I see a bit of the pant issue you were talking about, but your model looks far better than mine did.

Thanks, it was originally going to be Sublime, but I had some extra yellow paint from my Opel and Camaro. I did one of these in red a long time ago. I think it was one of the first few models cars I ever built. It came out OK, but since then I've wanted another that I could do a better job on. I saw the vinyl top like that on another car and thought it would be a cool look for this one.
