Saw one in Charleston the other day. Guy said he traded 3 Minis for it.

Funny you mention that. There was a woman driving a boat tail Buggatti a couple spaces over and it was quite fun watching her try to back it into her designated space.

I want to say the blower was just a piece that glued to the engine, so you could just omit it. However, I think the grill of the kit is molded to accommodate the blower.

Opinion on Revell ProModeler 69 Dodge Daytona kit

Thanks everyone. I do think it came out nice for such a cheap kit. Did what I could to make it look as nice as I could, but that engine just doesn't look right to me. Whatever, I guess, that's just the way they made the kit, but it still looks weird to me. They could have put more detail into the kit I think.

I believe it was an AMT kit.

Found this at a local store for $6. Pain to build, but it came out looking alright. SAM_2351 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2352 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2353 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

For glue kits I would go with the Bronco kit, any of the Mustang kits, the 69 and 70 Charger kits, and the Challenger kits. Honestly, for glue kits most Revell models are a pleasure to build.
-
That's actually what this kit was. The Revell version.

Looks great

Looks amazing. I've seen the kit before and often wondered what it would look like finished.

Awesome! Best looking take on a Willys I've ever seen.

'67 Chevelle: Revell vs AMT
Hard_2_Handle_454 replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The answer is always Revell. ALWAYS. -
Yep, that was my exact problem. Had to find a way to make it work. Other than that though, the kit wasn't too bad to build.
-
Yes and yes. The arms for the fenders broke so I had to fabricate new ones. Most of the rest of it wasn't too bad. It's just pre-war cars are a bit more challenging to build than the post war.

Never hesitate to post. Amazing job.

Awesome job. These are great kits. Easy to build and with a lot of options. The one I made is one of my favorite models in my collection. SAM_2414 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

I saw a car exactly like this one today driving down main street North Myrtle. Same colors and everything.
