  1. Thanks, Steve! I've seen a few articles and tutorials on using it, and thought this was as good a place, as any, to try it! It worked out well!
  2. Summit, Jegs, Auto Meter. I have found usable images for gauges on all of them.
  3. It looks to me like a mouse went at it for a few nibbles, and decided it wasn't worth it. Only thing I can think of.
  4. The cockpit side padding is complete and installed. The gauge panel is done (no photos, yet). Most of the rest of the stuff will need to wait until the hood is sorted. As always, critiques, comments and questions are welcome. Thanks for looking!
  5. Got the body closed up! Manufacture and fitting of the side padding has commenced. I can smell the completion of this project, even though it's a few weeks off, to finish the hood. The rest of it should be done in a matter of days.
  6. I recall it as "Swirl-a-delic". At one time, I had a copy of the Car Model mag it was in,originally.
  7. The upper body is mounted to the lower body! I set it on the wheels, just to get a look. Next major project will be the cockpit padding, and finishing the gauge panel. It's getting close, for sure!
  8. Cool story! Those are beautiful kits, although I've never built one, so I can't comment on how well they go together. Nice work!
  9. I have three of them! An aluminum Murphy's Rule, a clear, flexible Ivarule, and one similar to yours, but, without the logo. They are definitely handy!
  10. Can never have to many of those! I think it's still the best early Hemi, in kit form (along with their Hemi Hydro(?)). It's a must for building '60s fuel dragsters.
  11. Thank you, Art! I got the seat belts installed. That's the last major step for the lower half!
  12. Very cool! There's just something about down 'n' dirty race cars. Give me one of them, over a showboat, any day!
  13. Don't tell anybody, but, I have the calculator right down there, in the toolbar! ?
  14. It's been a few, since I updated this. The bottom "half" is getting ever so close! I'm down to lap belts, and a little touch up/clean up. Then, I will make the fitting for the pressure pump, and add that line, so that I can close the body, before adding the seat back, and all the padding. I still need to make lenses and bezels for the gauge panel, and figure out something to make a piece of molding, for the top arc, where it meets the body. I want to get everything done, but the hood, which I am kind of excited about. I'm going to make all three pieces from aluminum sheet, and hinge it on one side. I think that should look pretty cool. Anyway, here are a couple of shots of it, as it sits, now. The plastic engine panels are the first ones I made, years ago. They're just in place, here, to get an idea of how it will look. I will also make a new top piece for the hood. As always, questions, critiques and comments are welcome. Thank for looking!
  15. I've always had an easier time with multiplication than division! ? Plus, it's easy to remember that .040" strip stock is 1", in 1/25 scale, therefore, .005"=1/8", .020"=1/2", etc. I've gotten to where I just think that way, when I'm building. But, you're right. It doesn't matter how you get there!
  16. Multiply the 1:1 scale measurement by .04, for 1/25.
  17. Wow! Simply amazing work, Tim! Thanks for sharing it, with us!
  18. I got most of the lower "half" of this thing done. I should be closing up the body, in a day or two!
  19. Looking very nice, Bernard! I always enjoy your work.
  20. Thanks, Steve. I thought that just might work! I made a new gauge panel, today. It's not installed, in the photos, as it still needs some fine trimming, and to be "notched", where it meets the pipe, so it nestles in. Thanks for looking!
  21. In case you haven't seen this. It'll keep you bust for a while! https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/206391595410162053/
  22. Thank you, Dave. I appreciate that! Thanks, Nigel! That '55 is kind of right up my alley. Those old Monogram kits are just too cool!
