  1. I love this kind of project. Most of what I build has something inspired by another race car, or something I've seen on another race car. I also enjoy the challenge, and research to be as certain as I can that graphics, contingency decals, and equipment, etc. are correct for the era I'm modeling. Gotta' have a back story!🙂 Nice work!
  2. No kidding! A local Hobbytown recently added their rack. I bought a package of their telescoping brass tube, the smallest of which is .3mm. I can barely see the bore with cheaters on!
  3. The entire lower section is fiberglass. Often it was unpainted. The seat was black. It almost looks like a knit material, of some sort, here.
  4. I made a crossbar for the grille, although it doesn't attach to the grille. Originally, I'd planned to bring it to the front, but, having white-glued it in, it's kind of growing on me, in the recessed state. If I don't use the "nerf" bumpers, I'm thinking of opening up the area where they mount, and going with a small chin spoiler. There's time for consideration!😄
  5. You have certainly captured the vibe of the Ramchargers' old Plymouth, beautifully!
  6. I'll be watching both, for sure. You know I love me a Vega!
  7. Oh, yeah! What a great body. That's a beautiful car!
  8. As I frequently tell people; "I'm slow, but I catch on!" 😀
  9. I think I figured it out: It's because the photos I edit are NEF format. When I convert them to jpeg, post-editing, it's an option for quality of the jpeg, related to the NEF file.
  10. The bumpers have all been formed and polished! The rear center section is glued too high, on the body, currently. I will, of course, be level with the end sections. I'm pretty happy with them, considering they started out as raw lengths of 9ga. dead soft aluminum wire! I'm very close to painting the dash, so it can be detailed. As always, feel free to comment, at your leisure.😀 Thanks for looking!
  11. According to the package header: Instagram @jarman_motorsports_ Facebook Jarman Motorsports He's local, here.
  12. Good stuff, Greg! As always.
  13. Thank you very much, Kurt! I appreciate it! Yeah, when I was trying to decide what to do with them, it dawned on me--smiley faces were everywhere, about then!
  14. Plum Nutz brought home this, today! One thing I like about this show, are their awards. The artwork is always way cool!
  15. Attended a local show, here, today. It was in a Hobbytown, and the had an Albion Alloys rack. I picked up a tube of their telescoping brass tubing, in .3, .5, .7, and .9mm sizes. Honestly, it's very difficult to even see the bore, on the .3mm tubing! But, hey, it's .3mm tubing! I also bought a package of 1mm aluminum tube. I love it when I find hard-to-find scratchbuilding materials, in the wild! I also got this 3-D printed stuff, as a door prize/raffle drawing. I've bought some of it, over the years, too. It's impressive-looking, to be sure. For some reason, I just keep scratchbuilding stuff, and the resin sits!😄 I also brought home a Top Ten award for my C/A Badman!
  16. I white-glued the rear bumper on, just to see. I think I like that!
  17. Funny how that works, no?😃
  18. Good deal, saving the paint. I had to do something similar with my Badman.
  19. Yessir! First time I saw them, and noticed the "Washable/Disinfectable" label, I knew they'd do the trick!
  20. Always happy to share anything I've figured out! Thanks for your kind words, Mark!
  21. You're most welcome! You can bet that if it's on his model, it's correct. I haven't built one, but I have two of them, as well as one, each of the MPC 1/20 scale kits. I guess I like McLarens! Guy is a great builder--one of the best, in my opinion. I tagged him, with the photos, so maybe he'll check in. He doesn't visit this board, too often.
