And they are getting ready to repave a large portion of them after 20 years and of course, they are using federal road funds to do so because the tolls collected only cover "maintenance and operating costs", not actual construction. I remember when the board of directors for the tollway got caught ordering $2,500 chairs for their new boardroom and it was uncovered that they hardly ever used the boardroom! They also had a couple of expensive helicopters to use for observation purposes and I think a couple of directors got caught using them for "taxi" service so the wouldn't have to get stuck in traffic on the tollways! Only in Illinois, where more ex-governors are also ex-prisoners!

1966 Nova Wagon Pro Street - 8/19

I am watching this one too, which resin supplier is the body from? I have one from Bandit Resins, been thinking about what could be. -
Well, the thing I learned about this whole Cecil the Lion situation is that I should have gone to dental school! If the good Dr. was able to pay $50,000 for a license and probably another $5-10,000 in expenses to go to Africa to hunt, then obviously he is doing pretty good filling cavities! While the killing of a Lion is newsworthy, I do find it interesting what some networks are doing as far as coverage on all events of the past couple of days.

My thoughts as well. Nice job on that conversion, I was digging through my spares box last night getting the parts together to do the same! -

In the past when I printed coupons, if I walked the aisle and didn't find something I needed/wanted, I would hand the coupon to another shopper. Today I mention to others to use their smartphone for the 40% off coupon. -
Real or Model #234 Finished

For me it was the door gaps and the outside mirror, just didn't look real enough to me. -

I remember Bob Downie (ZoomZoom) created a model using a late model Mustang, Challenger and Camaro and it came out much nicer than this thing! -
Don't worry, I am sure the government has all of our information already on a secure server with a back up cloud!

Looks great, I might have to pickup (pun intended!) one of the AMT trucks for this exact purpose! -
Resin late-model steel wheels?
mikemodeler replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Check out Scenes Unlimited, Danny has a bunch of wheels and might have something close to what you are looking for. The Modelhaus would be another place to check. Both places have a great product and are top notch to deal with. -
Next up from Moebius ?
mikemodeler replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Me too! It would be nice to have 2wd & 4wd versions. I think if someone was to tool up a Chevy kit that was a bit more detailed than the AMT kit is/was, they could have a hit on their hands. And like Moebius, offer up some variations- long & short bed, 2wd & 4wd. A nice Suburban would be cool too! -

some things hint Model, others hint Real, so I went with Model. -

1971 Ford F350 Dump

Looks great Chuck, you have that weathering thing down pretty good, so much so that I am shocked when you post a shiny build! -

I wouldn't assume Foose is spending any money on the tooling. More likely he is being paid some royalties for using his name and designs and Revell is looking for kits that resemble builds he has done in the past. If I were a betting man, I would say that the "new tool" will be more like a modified version of the existing F100 kit. Don't expect it to be just like the truck as shown on TV, they would have a bunch of money tied up in a kit that would have limits on future issues due to the unique styling. -

Don't be quick to judge Revell on the Ranchero, they could still pull it off. As you pointed out, they have most of the tooling done for a Ranchero so it is possible! -

Couldn't have been Boyd, he was dead by the time Foose's F100 was built. If you don't like it, then don't buy it, it's that simple. No need to rant on here about something so meaningless. -
whats going on with pegasus ?
mikemodeler replied to ERIK88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Check out Modelroundup or Tower Hobbies, I believe that they have some wheels in stock, not sure exactly which ones but I remember an email from Jack at Modelroundup regarding Pegasus and orders. -
Motivation, wish I could find some.

Same here, I attribute it to the summer weather and the need to do things outside. I have taken some time here and there to work on some kits but no major progress. My problem is that I will start a bunch of kits and then not finish a single one for months! Just this morning I opened another kit-'63 Corvette snap kit, and sprayed some primer on it and will work on it over the next couple of weeks. That is in addition to the other WIPs, some as old as 10 years! LOL!
