  1. Extremely clean build you have going, looks like some great detail work coming up...
  2. Tell me which 70's-80's funny car kit is best and why. Looking to build a simi-detailed model.
  3. After purchasing two Atlantis kits in the past six months, the first 57 Chevy which I struggled to build and recently the Jungle Jim Camaro funny car, I am done. There is nothing in this kit that comes close to buildable. The kit should be called Flash Gordon! The wheels appear to have lockers for some kind of 4 wheel drive and the body looks like it's from a Deals wheels cartoon kit. With modern technology why can't someone turn out a better flopper kit. Ok I'm done ranting too..... And now back to your regular scheduled programming.
  4. If memory serves me right, the reason the kit was engineered with the lower cab corners to be separate is to allow the interior tub placement. I worked my way around this problem once. I'd be interested to know what you find.
  5. A lovely Elco build, proper stance and perfect colors. Nice job, I'd like to see it photographed with a proper background!
  6. Outstanding model you have there...
  7. What a nice clean build! Fit and finish spot on and the colors work perfectly, well done.
  8. Fancy build you have there....
  9. Well your off to a good start. Having the real deal in the garage is helpful. And it looks like your willing to search out correct pieces parts to match your 1:1. Judging by your enthusiasm I'd say your going to need a bigger work area! Patiently watching....
  10. That is a well done 57, finish is outstanding!
  11. Well done! Legendary subject....
  12. Preparation is or friend! Dust free environment and ventilation is key. Take your time and try a test piece first.
  13. Welcome to Styrene-aholics unanimous. Looks like your on your way to a good start....
  14. Great subject, lovely model.
  15. Well I'm impressed. Nice detailing.
  16. Copy that....
  17. Awesome styling que's DL, I'm with ya on the front fenders. And the Drag City interior is a winner in my book. He makes very nice pieces/parts. The changes to the bed are nicely done, your stance as always is spot on. Thanks for sharing this one...
  18. That looks great! I did the same thing on a 32-roadster body once using some outdated BMF. Yours turned very nice. I'll bet you never complain out foiling a 57,58 Chevy again!
  19. One of the greatest hits in NASCAR history was when Jimmy punched Kurt Bush in the mouth...
  20. If someone knows the exact color it was, I can fake it from there!
  21. Heather, you have my deepest condolences. I hope you and your family find peace during this difficult time. Being a styrene addict much like your father I enjoyed his models very much. He has a very distinct style, clean and detailed with attention to detail. Adding touches that set his builds apart from others. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I'd bet my paycheck he had these same qualities in every aspect of his life. Just the fact that you joined this group to learn more about your dad says a lot about yourself and the effect your dad had on your life. I don't know the details of what seems like an untimely departure, but I am confident he loved you and is very proud of you. May he rest in peace. God's Speed Plowboy...
  22. Good looking model here. I have set of Blue Ridge Decals for this car and would love to find some pictures of it. Not much on the net but my search did lead me to yours...
  23. Love me some custom....
