  4. I agree on the magnificience. I remember riding on abus like that. We went to a racing and sports car show at the Olympia.
  5. The white metal pieces need to be filed (there's a bit of flash) and bent to suit. Started on the "chrome". Worked on the trailer connectors.
  6. One Bulldozer, one rattle can, one jar and one tin.
  7. Or.... I could make the couch out of the Merc. However I have only one tailight. If anyone has an extra one.... Meanwhile I'll try casting one.
  8. And....... For additional options, Ron Olsen has a whole herd of interesting Ford engines on Shapeways: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/3d-model-specialties?section=Boss+429%2F600&s=0
  9. Boy, thaybrings back memories.
  10. I have this 1957 Ford with saran wrap damage to the paint from storage. It was on the back burner for a redo. Then I saw this Del Rio body and interior on eBay. The plan was to remove the Fairlane body and replace it with the Del Rio body. I would then cut the back of the Fairlane off and do a trunk couch for the shop diorama. Turns out the Fairlane's frame is molded to the floorpan while the Del Rio's is separate and I don't have it. Can't use the fairlane floorpan with the Del Rio interior. I have this old Mercury whose frame will do fine. I get to save the Fairlane this way. Now I'd like to find a Meteor body for it. I think it exists. Maybe Flintstone? Anyway, I started removing bits and pieces of floorpan from the Mercury frame in order to make it fit the wagon floorpan.
  11. Absolutely gorgeous models. Nice enough to make me want to sell mt stash.
  12. Round 2...of the paint that is. looks like this will do.
  13. Isn't that right. Lookin' good.
  14. X2. tell me this is big scale. That level of detail in 1:25 is astounding.
  15. Mine is done.
  16. I was the typical nerd, glasses, bookworm, hated team sports. However, now that I am old, I spend a lot of time doing physical activity. I am responsible for the maintenance of the local snowshoe trails with a couple of other old boys and I spend as much time as I can on the trails during the winter. In the summer, I cycle, nothing like Taxdude and Dragstk however, 5 to 10 miles a day and my bike is a $250 Raleigh. I collected licence plates for a while, and car books. I reconstructed a '34 Chevrolet from a hulk and a few donor cars. That used up about 8 years. I do woodworking as well. So no time to go to work. And, of course , modelling.
  17. Welcome. You'll enjoy it here.
  18. Thanks for the sympathy Jacobus. It actually sprayed grit, it wasn't a reaction. So I tried it again at lenght on something else and it didn't do it again. So keep your fingers crossed. Installed the bumper and a strip under the rear of the cab to level it. Installed the stack. There wasn't much choice so it is a bit far from the cab and a bit close to the battery box, the heat, you know. Made a bracket out of a frame to floorpan brace from another model and a bracket out of a small channel. It looks a bit chunky. i might change that for two round rod in a vee. I am also waging a running battle with the "glass".
  19. That hemi is sweet.I envy your wiring.
