And instead of "plumbed," you would like us to say what? -
Oh, absolutely. She was also in the rebooted V, the first couple seasons of Showtime's Homeland, and is currently on Fox's Gotham. And she just looks stunning everywhere. Come to think of it, I don't believe there are any bad-looking women on Gotham.

They're both pretty sparkly, just so you know. The Emerald is sort of like '68-'69 Rally Green, but sparklier. It's a pretty color.

I'll be paying off my Last Order on my credit card for three or four months. But, totally worth it! -

1/32 AMT Sting-Ray Corvette Hardtop & Other Scale Stars
Snake45 replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Yup. MPC (their first Vette was '64) got this right for the later ones, just about the only thing I like more about the MPC body than the AMT.- 33 replies

New! Improved! '69 Charger Glue Bomb Resto/Rescue New Pics 2/12

I'm gonna look and see if there are two hoods in the Revell '68 Charger, which I just got one of, or if it has the right kind of vents I could sili-clone and graft into the common "soft vent" hood. -
Sounds like a personal problem.

Those Heavy Chevys
Snake45 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
In '71 and/or '72, Chevy actually sold a "Heavy Chevy" Chevelle variant. Would you even be seen in such a thing? Me neither. I'm thinking of building my Monogram '65 Impala convertible as a drag Junior Stocker. If I do, it'll be called Great White Buffalo after my favorite Ted Nugent song. -

I usually Sharpie the drip rails, but didn't on this one for some reason. Looking at the pics, I think it might have been because I didn't like the way they curve at the very lower rear edge--doesn't look right and I didn't want to highlight that. I might be interested in that Charger 500 grille, but not for this--wouldn't waste it on this hot mess. I have a spare Charger 500 unbuilt body (have no recollection of when or how I got it) and if I could come up with the right hood (do you have that, too?) I could probably get a good Charger 500 together. Or if YOU want to do a Charger 500 (seems like something in your wheelhouse), maybe we can work something out. -

If you like blue, you might like the '72 GTO I just rescued. Hope to have pics up next weekend. Sneak preview of coming attractions here: -

That's a '68-'69. We're talking about a '67. -
Unless you have some laws in England that we don't have in the US, no, they don't. You can take a break and build anything you want to, at any time. You can even build a boat, a tank, or an airplane if the mood strikes you! Amazing but true! Free your mind and the rest will follow!

Oh, Matt, two more must-haves for your list are the Revell '67 Chevelle SS396 (a wonderfully easy build, too), and one of the Revell '69 Camaros--Yenko, Z/28 or convertible, take your pick.

The profile of the humps of the front fenders is completely wrong. They look like porpoises. And the front panel is a bit fat, too. The whole front end of the car looked inflated, like a blow-up beach toy. They fixed this with the '67 coupe and the two '63 snappers, which IMHO have the most accurate C2 bodies ever. (Yes, more accurate than the AMT or MPC.) Yes, if you want a nice '67 roadster, the easiest way to do it is to kitbash the roadster and coupe. Personally, I'd cut off the coupe's top and graft in the roadster's deck. And while I was at it, I'd widen the whole rear end by an inch or or two--I think the AMT hard top would fit pretty well if this were done.

The coupe is fine, but the front fenders of the roadster are a misshapen mess. If you want a Sting Ray roadster, and can live with a curbside, get the Revell '63 snapper, which is lovely. Another one that should be on your list is at least one of the Revell '68 or '69 Corvettes. The 8 is a roadster and the 9 is the coupe. Better yet, get one of each!

Okay, I just attacked the two images above with dial caliper, calculator, and Snake-Fu Math. Won't bore you with the details, but my conclusions are: The funny wheelbase is somewhere around 104-105". (Stock '67 wheelbase is 98.0".) The front fender gills are in stock location (relative to the rear of the car, not the front). Notice material has been added ahead of the gills. The front fender bulges are definitely longer on the funny than on the stock car. They're hard to measure exactly, so I can't give you an exact dimension, but the funny front bulges are definitely longer than stock. The extension has been incorporated into the factory lines so smoothly that it's really hard to see. The Revell '67 and '63 bodies SHOULD be compatible as far as width, cross-section, etc. -
That looks fantastic! I wish I had the patience, or the desire, or the attention span, to do interiors that well. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one finished. In other news, remember that green '76 Monza promo I want to restore? On a whim yesterday I bought a rattlecan of Testor Lime Ice and the color is a near perfect match. Only problem is, it's way too flaky/sparkly to match what's on the model. But I might use it on the rubber portions of the bumpers you sent me, and then dullcoat them, which I know from testing cuts the sparkle WAY back. The dullness might not be too noticeable on the bumpers. I might experiment with decanting some of the stuff and see if the flakes settle to the bottom over time, they way they do with Testor little bottle metalflakes. Couple weeks ago I bought a little bottle of Testor Gloss Bright Lime, but it turns out to not be very lime-y at all. It actually bears some resemblance to '69 Ford Silver Jade (which could be a happy coincidence for me). Gonna try mixing some of that with Turn Signal Amber to see if I can get it a bit "limier." The search con-TIN-ues.... Thanks again for those bumpers!
