Oh, we're thinking of the same model. If you take a good look at both of them, you can see that the front fenders of the roadster body are very "bloated" looking compared to the coupe's, which are right. I've built the roadster too, but I spent several hours shaving, filing, and sanding that front end down to a more correct shape. I won't do that again. Well, if the shape doesn't bother you as bad, then it's okay for you. Some people don't see it (it didn't seem to bother espo); some do. Personally, if I ever want to build another roadster, I'll start with the coupe body and graft in the rear deck from the roadster (I've bought several of the roadster kits cheap, just for parts).

Beautiful build, very clean! Model on!

Let's hope the dentist doesn't buy the last copy of the kit you wanted.

The body on the roadster is so bad that I consider it nothing more than a "parts mine" kit.

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Thanks so much! That's a great looking model. You've inspired me--I think I'll try this using a Pinto wagon. Now to go find a Pinto wagon. Drive on! -

Convert AMT 65 Riviera to convertible

AMT '65 GTO? -
Good ideas, but I don't have any suitable wheels/tires to swap. Also, it would be very difficult to alter the ride height of this model, unlike those with simple wire axles such as the Welly '65 Impala.

What non-auto model did you get today?

The floatplane version of that kit is also VERY cool. -
Outstanding! Probably the nicest built Monkeemobile I've ever seen. Spencer, drop me an email. I have something that might be of interest to you. SnakeACP45 at AOL dot com

VERY nice! Clean work and very sharp looking. Well done and model on!

I'm a speed reader. I can burn through a novel pretty quickly because when I read, I'm just looking for nouns and verbs--adjectives and adverbs, not so much. I really don't care what everyone was wearing or how the room was decorated or what it smelled like. I just want to know what everyone does. I don't read everything that way, of course. There are certain books I've read many times, slowly, savoring every passage, every word....

I like this a LOT! What is it? -
At about the same time, I "melted" the canopy of an Aurora F9F Panther so much it looked like the airplane had a chopped top!

I'd never heard of this movie or seen the car so I had to look it up. Looks like you did a nice job with it! Model on! https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1166-Pontiac-GTO-1968.html

I saw that when it was first broadcast and almost came here and posted it. I'd never heard of her before but did some research and evidently she has been around a while and has quite a following. She can ROCK!

Yes, I watch most things on Netflix at 1.5 speed. Maybe my brain works faster or maybe it's just ADD, but I find stuff more enjoyable if it keeps "moving." Every now and then I'll slow a part down to normal speed to see something special, but I don't find it's hard to keep up at 1.5 speed.

Looks very clean so far. Drive on!

I'm up into episode 5 so far (THANK YOU NETFLIX for the 1.5 speed option!) Funniest line of the whole series (at least so far) goes to Darlene: "I want to apologize for that. Even went to the drugstore to look for a card. No such card exists."

AFAIK, this is the ONLY 1/24-25 model of the late-model Dodge Charger available. (I WISH there were a plastic kit.) Diecastmodelswholesale offered them in white or black. I'd have much preferred a nice metallic blue or even red, but there it is. The white didn't really speak to me so I got black. Ah shucks oh well, it has sort of a Chicago PD vibe to it. I bought it planning to turn it into a phantom 2-door coupe. I knew that would be a lot of work, but due to the way Welly did the side glass, it'll be even more difficult than I thought. So I'm just leaving it alone, at least for the time being. Ironically (considering I was gonna epoxy the doors in place to do the conversion), the door lines on this one are among the very best I've ever seen on any diecast. And the doors close TIGHT--I have to stick something thin in the jamb to get them open. There's not a lot to Snake-Fu on the thing, so here's what it looks like right out of the box. If you want a late-model Charger, I can recommend it. And AFAIK, it IS the only game in town.

My first completed project of 2022. Can't call it a "build" because I didn't build it--bought it as a nice-looking builtup at the local toy show. It was SO nice that there wasn't much Snake-Fu to do to it. The windshield was loose, and eventually fell out--had to glue that back in. I sanded the tire treads, and hit the chrome wheels with some Krylon matte clear to tone them down. Did a little black painting in the scoops in the front valence, and that's about it. I believe but can't prove that this was factory-painted. I found that Revell did sell a pre-painted kit of this model, but could only find them in silver, not the nice green that's on this one. If the original builder did paint it, he or she did a REALLY nice job of it. I didn't even have to take this one apart (and couldn't figger out how to do so without breaking something). Looks nice on the shelf for $10 and maybe three hours of work.

Then I'm down in the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun, Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike, And I think somebody somewhere must be tolling a bell And the last thing I see is my heart, still beating, Breaking out of my body and flying away Like a bat out of hell.... RIP Meat, and thanks for all the tunes.
