  1. I bought my last tube of Testor glue in the mid '70s, just in case I ever found need of it. I still have it somewhere. Haven't needed it yet.
  2. That's how I use the Rustoleum clear lacquer, too, which has given me better results than the Krylon product.
  3. Glad to have been of help. Model on!
  4. Nice work! I have one of these in the Snakepit and you are making me want to drag it out and slap it together, which is a high compliment. Drive on!
  5. Forgot to mention I hated that tall loudmouth from Cali a little less this time. He pretty much kept his mouth in check, and his new car is kinda cool. Although it ran like a turd first time out. I don't hate Cali Frank's little brother, in fact he's kinda cool. I really dislike Frank, though. Yeah, Chucky should have put his hot cars up front.
  6. Sounds like a new sticky thread on 3D printing would be appreciated. Looks like there's enough interest in it now.
  7. Plus which, USAAF didn't operate B-25s out of England in WWII.
  8. Looks like I was right about Cali being the stronger team, but not by much--Detroit put on a much better show than I expected. Chuckie tried to be a good team captain but ended up blowing the deal himself. At least he took full responsibility for it. Boddie won TWO races in a row, something I've never seen before. You are right about the cross rule--JJ should reinstate that immediately. I couldn't BELIEVE he gave the guy who crossed the win because he managed to cross the finish line upside down and backwards. Mike Bowen seems like a goodguy--probably his biggest win ever. (He calls his car a '68 Chevelle but it's got a '69 grille on it.)
  9. I want the '80-81 style in the two-tone green. Got a model all ready for 'em.
  10. <Mr. Cynical here wondered if maybe the car were part of the billboard. Turns out it, it is: https://billboardconnection.com/article/muffins-are-falling-the-muffins-are-falling/
  11. What he said! Well done and model on!
  12. Is that what they call a "muffin top"? Cool!
  13. Hadn't seen this before. Very most way excellent hella cool build! You are DA MAN of movie cars! Model on!
  14. The Monogram 1/12 '67 Corvette has the BBC.
  15. (Future isn't and never was "wax.") One year ago I was standing in your shoes, my friend. Feel free to follow my path:
  16. Progress... Painted the resin grille/bumper with one wet coat of Krylon Foil. As I've said before, this isn't perfect, but it does actually look better than SOME chrome I've seen in brand-new kits. It'll do. And it'll look better after I do the fine detail work. Got the foilwork done on the body. This is cheap generic kitchen foil with Micro Metal Foil Adhesive. I only did the side trim strips and rocker panels, as I thought this would be the best way to do these areas; everything else will be Silver Sharpie or dry-brushed Testor Silver. Still some fine-brush orange touchup to do, too. Also foiled the rear panel emblem, as that also seemed the best way to do that. Painted the interior with Krylon Satin Pebble, which was the closest rattlecan I could find to factory interior color Fawn. It's a little dark and a little tan, but it's what I have to work with. I know the dashboard is resin and I suspect the interior tub is too, and it had "64 Nova" written on the underside of it, so it might not be a true '62 gut, but guess what, I don't care, I'm rolling with it (not much choice, really). I'll make it work. Finally found a pair of open wheels for the rears; they're in the paint shop as we speak. Hope to get this one done this week--wish me luck.
  17. That's a good looking color on that car. Drive on!
  18. It looked to me like Monza won it. If they were dead even (noses) at the finish line, Monza's whole car was over the finish line first. Starting to feel bad for Murder Nova. Although I gotta say, I've never seen a guy be such a good sport about losing. Looks like Lutz drags out his NPK car for next week.
  19. Previews of tonight's (405) program show Monza stalking off, apparently because Dominator can't or won't make a decision. Dominator's been shown being the starter when Chief is racing. Is it reasonable to conclude, therefore, that Monza and Chief race tonight, and it's so close Dom can't call it? Or perhaps a starting line jump issue? Any other possible interpretation?
  20. Very most way hella excellent! Well done and model on!
  21. I've started watching Peacemaker on HBO/MAX and there is a BUNCH of great music I've never heard before on there. At first, due to the context of the show, I thought it was all obscure '80s hair bands, but evidently not, there's a lot of much newer stuff on there. If you watch it with the CC on, they tell you the title and band of every song they play. Just as a sample, here's the opening theme, done by Wig Wam. I find this stupid little dance thing so hilarious I sit through it every episode instead of FFing through it, as I usually do when watching something like this.

    '67 Cougar

Very VERY nice! Great color and finish! Well done (as usual) and model on!
  23. You beat me to it! His second best line: At a staff meeting, when Andy asks "Are there any questions?" : "Can you teach me about magnets?"
