  1. Somebody's phantom box art. Pretty nice job, too.
  2. Congratulations on inaugurating Page 500 of Irk!
  3. Ask the waitress to scan the code on HER phone. And ask to see the price for every code on the menu before you decide. If a few people per store would do that every day, they'd quickly come up with some other system. Yes, every now and then it's quite useful to be Evil.
  4. You guys are killin' me! I won't get my Moebius kit until Tuesday! Indeed it does. I just finished bringing an original AMT '62 back from the dead. Looking forward to putting a Moebius on the shelf next to it.
  5. I saw this thread yesterday and it reminded me of the kind of work I do on old survivors. Drive on, my friend!
  6. That's a cool old survivor! I'm very interested to see what you do with it. Model on!
  7. They discontinued the coupons a year or more ago. Now they have the model kits 40% off every other week, which is somewhat cool, but never have any discounts on model paints, tools, or accessories.
  8. I was thinking the first issue of the B-M was molded in red, like the box art. If it wasn't, then I don't have red.
  9. Don't think I've seen one. I have them molded in yellow, blue, red, and maybe orange (a glue bomb--don't remember if it's paint or plastic). Was the "Street Burner" issue molded in green? I have an AMT '70 Baldwin-Motion molded in green. I seem to be working on a Roy G. Biv Nova collection. Have violet and yellow done already, just finished orange, could knock blue out pretty quick, and already have plans to build red and green. And an idea about indigo. (These are all paint, not plastic.)
  10. Testor Mystic Emerald lacquer is a passable match, though a bit flakier than factory metallic.
  11. I have several other reissues of this kit, but if this one includes THOSE wheels and tires, I'm in for at least one more! SPOILER ALERT: This kit is purely for retro/nostalgia/fun building. If you want a nice '67 Vette coupe model, buy the Revell, which is superior in absolutely every way.
  12. Got one that mine would be shipping today. Happy Happy Joy Joy!
  13. Very VERY cool! Well done and model on!
  14. That DM '68 Elky is nice. I lucked into one for $20 or $25 at the local toy show a few years ago (no box or papers). It was an early and still proud member of my Black Diecast Chevies sub-collection (which is now up to something like 15 or 16 cars, last time I counted.
  15. Hmmmm, if they're not, you might be able to fake them by modifying the wheel covers from a '65 Chevelle....
  16. "Magic Carpet Ride," Steppenwolf "I Won't Back Down," Tom Petty "Ezy Rider," Jimi Hendrix "Paint It Black," The Stones "Time Has Come Today," Chambers Brothers "Behind These Hazel Eyes," Kelly Clarkson "Hung Up," Madonna "Great White Buffalo," Ted Nugent "Rock Candy," Montrose "Stand Back," Stevie Nicks "Heavy Metal (Takin' a Ride)," Don Felder
  17. Outstanding score--congratulations! If you do decide to do some flipping, I'd be interested in the '65 and '66 GTO hardtops, perhaps. Model on!
  18. His car was obviously "day two" so he or someone might have added that hood later.
  19. When I bought mine, they were $19.95, which seemed a fortune at the time. I have all three--if someone wants them for 300 bucks apiece, come on over and drive home with them!
  20. I know there were both, because I swapped a guy a single exhaust chassis who needed one, and he sent me a dual exhaust in exchange.
  21. Looks great, you really did a nice job with it! Well done and model on!
  22. In the above pic I can see the molded-in gas cap is a GT.
  23. Looking good! Drive on!
