AJ Foyt '66 Ford Mustang T/A

Very, VERY nice! Well done and model on! -
Very cool! What year is it? Looks like before they ruined them.

Copycat automotive design.

Agree with you completely about the '70-'72 Chevelles, and I've thought so for years. I always thought the '70 Camaro could/should have been the '70 Barracuda, and vice versa. In fact, all the '70-'74 Cudas look like progressions of the 1G Camaro design. -
Street Outlaws America's List, Season 2
Snake45 replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Apparently Tricia was just able to start walking again last week. Looks like Monday night's episode will be her wreck. Obviously she didn't make it back it back to America's List but I think JJ did. -
Very cool--different and therefore interesting! Thanks for sharing it! "Watchtower" isn't a Hendrix cover, though, it's Bob Dylan cover. Hendrix just did the best-known cover of it (many people have never heard anything else). I believe I have a concert bootleg of Warren Zevon doing it, which is kinda cool. But Jimi's version is and always will be the definitive one IMHO.

Good news! Glad to hear it, stitchdup. Good luck to you.

Yawn. Again.

So the eyes are going, too. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. I never try to watch TV while modeling, but there was a time that was my normal method of operation. Come to think of it, back in those days, TV wasn't as good, and you could follow along just fine by listening (except for The Simpsons).

Update: Now logged into HBO and Showtime. Turns out I wasn't actually logged into History, was only being offered selected unlocked episodes. (The one I watched today turned out to be a lucky unlocked one.) Tried to log in through my provider again but a slightly different setup this time and it wouldn't let me in. Sigh. Oh well, I still have most of what I wanted.

AMC and FXNow are working fine. I found out how to log in to my provider with Discovery--turns out the full list was at the bottom of the screen, I just had to swipe up a little. Doh! Downloaded HBO and Showtime but still have to log in with them. I think it'll go okay--I'm optimistic, at least. Next question: This thing has the shortest "time to sleep" of anything I've ever seen. I think it's under 10 seconds. (If I don't do anything in that time, it turns off and I have to power up and log back on again. I thought TLMS's IPad time to sleep was short, at around a minute, or maybe 30 seconds). I can't find anything in the settings that sounds like it would fix this. Where would I look? ETA: Got logged into HBO and SHO fine. I think I found the sleep setting under screen display. We'll see if that works.

Not worried about motels, I'm using the thing in various random locations in my house. I'd been listening to radio on my desktop but found that some channels eat up so much bandwidth that it impedes other programs I'm using at the same time. I've downloaded Netflix fine, just need to log in. Our daughter has our Netflix account so I'll let her log us in when we see her for Easter. Until then I still have use of TLMS's IPod, so I'm good.

Pretty much everything was irksome today. I've got some kind of cold or flu, and my back is hurting again. My cable box isn't working, so I pulled it (with a lot of pain due to its location) and took an hour of my day to take it to the cable joint for a replacement. Get home, plug it in (with more pain involved, of course), and it does exactly the same thing as the old one. Looks like I'll have to schedule a home call. Sigh. On the way home, stopped at Walmart and bought a Samsung Galaxy 8 tablet. I've been using TLMS's Apple IPod for about 2 years now. All I ever do on it is stream TV and radio. She's very generous about sharing it but several times a week she's using it when I want to, and I NEVER ask to impose on her time because the thing is hers. (Of course, I pay the WiFi bill.) So I bought this (relatively) cheap Samsung to fill in those times when I can't use hers. It took me over an hour to set the Samsung up to where I could do ANYTHING with it. Couldn't find any way to stream any TV but I did open Google Chrome which is were I get my radio programs, so that was all good. Modeler and Goodguy Rodent heard my sad and desperate cry for help and walked me through finding where the TV apps were hidden. So far I've been able to access ABC, NBC, History Channel, AMC, and FXNow. Got Discovery installed but haven't been able to make it work yet but I think it'll be okay. Still looking to get HBOMAX, ShowtimeAnytime, and Netflix, but I'm optimistic all around. Worse comes to worst, I can get along pretty good with the channels I have now; I still have access to TLMS's IPad, of course. So the day ended a little better than it started. So I got that goin' for me. Thanks again, Rodent--you made my day.

ABC wanted me to log in through my provider, but DID list my provider, so no problem there. Also got AMC and FXNOW, but haven't tried them yet. I didn't think you were treating me like a dummy, not at all. I'd have never thought to look in Google Play. Thanks again!
-
Thanks to you, I'm making progress. Got ABC and NBC and History. Discovery wants me to log in through my TV provider--yay!--but doesn't seem to offer or recognize my TV provider. Will let you know more tonight but this is much farther along than I was. Many thanks!

Okay, lemme see if I can find that.

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. All I want to do is stream radio and TV. It's good on the radio (through Google Chrome) but I can't figger out how to get TV on it. On TLMS's IPad, in the Settings there one where you select your TV provider and it connects right to my cable provider through WiFi. No such setting on the Galaxy. And no TV apps available either. How do I do this?

Very cool! Never get tired of looking at 1G Novas, and pleased to know I inspired you in part. Well done and model on!

It will be GREAT to see correct-length Fiat coupes being built again, instead of the stretched AMT backbirth. -

The original Monkeemobile had 'em. Dunno if any of the reissues still do or not. -
What song(s) make you wish for an open road and no speed limit?
Snake45 replied to Jantrix's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or you agree. Whatever you think of those two artists (and they're not my favorites), those two songs ROCK. -
Gramps, very, VERY cool! This was some kind of special limited edition (50th anniversary, maybe?) M2 '65 Mustang. I removed all the tampo and other fru-fru and ended up with a clean street bomb. It's probably more Pro Street than early A/FX, but I like it anyway.
