  2. Just wondering, do you have the six sheets of plans? If yes, I would consider using the part layout sheet as a template to make new frames, deck, bulkheads, etc. This is the layout sheet for the HMS Bounty as an example.
  3. Hyperbole always attracts more views and responses than otherwise warranted. It's like rubbernecking at an accident scene.
  4. Toothpastes, in general, contain abrasives, even gel types. You can use toothpaste to remove minor scuffing on clear and opaque plastic. It'll even work on paint.
  5. The only resin on his ebay page are the Corvair Rampside, '50 Olds Wagon and 1957 VW OVAL WINDOW SUNROOF RESIN CONVERSION . No Hebmuller conversion, though.
  6. Try getting vantablack. You can't just buy it. It's not commercially available.
  7. Krylon ColorMaster Satin Black Paint/Primer is good. It dries to a perfect low reflective satin finish.

  10. Being from Noo Yawk, I don't have to worry about that. Just about every car is undercoated so they're black.
  11. you can always check out Margarita Island, on Bowery & W.12th St. and Ruby's Bar & Grill on the Boardwalk, all in Coney Island. both are great joints and close at 2 A.M. There's also Freak Bar on Surf & W.12th , a short walk up from the other two.

  16. The kit windshields. The actual vehicles were used to illustrate that either glass could be used because either would be correct and accurate when compared to the real cars. I also posted the pics to show that all of those cars were essentially the same vehicles.
  17. The Panoramic Windshield was an option from 1957 through the 1964 model years. It was dropped starting in 1965. It might appear that way to you; but, historically, that isn't the case. Since it was a documented option, using either the panoramic glass from the '60 Desoto or the flat from the'62 New Yorker would be accurate because both glass options were available for it. 1960 Chrysler New Yorker Wagon w/panoramic windshield 1960 Chrysler New Yorker with the panoramic windshield So, according to what you wrote, these to cars have the wrong windshield?
  18. I guess I must be imaging things, Mark. I performed a test last year by switching the glass from both the '60 Desoto and '62 300 and they fit perfectly into the each other's kit body. Also, it was pointed out in another thread that both the "bulged" and "flat" windshield g;ass was optional for 1957-1962 Chrysler products. The 1960-62 Mopars, including Desotos and New Yorkers, used the common Dodge/Plymouth unibody.   19. True; but, since George is looking for a Lotus Esprit kit with an engine, those differences aren't a deal breaker if either is available for purchase.
