I would go half way between the two, like it was still being worked

Minicraft Models Discontinued?

I'm not joking about wanting a kit of an allegro, the joke is someone wanting a kit of an allegro. I want to build a gasser from one, square steering wheel and all- 23 replies

I actually bought from kingkit for the first time today, 2 jo-han plymouth cop cars for the price of 2 current kits cant be bad and the wagon is so ugly slamming it will improve the looks no end. Just wish I could fine a 1/24 or 1/25 allegro..., lol- 23 replies

I found it to just be top gear with a new name, nothing about it seemed to be fresh or surprising. I think you could be wrong about top gear itself though, now they got rid of chris evans I think it will improve a lot

I like that, for me the wheels are the finishing touch
-
Cheers folks, espo I only noticed the tyres after I'd glued the wheels on and being so much lower they're now stuck like that cos there's no space to get them off.

1001 uses for Bondic on Fotki 7/30/17
stitchdup replied to Foxer's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Has anyone tried using bondic on a painted surface? -
After looking at it again, I should have moved the front wheels forward a little as well
-
The original version looks like it should be a 4 door to me, but with the size of the trunk lid it probably wouldn't lose too much of the practicality, it wouls be a struggle to get the spare in and out
-
Well I'm very much a newbie at photoshop but I gave the marlin a shot. I moved the rear wheels back and shortened the back of the car. You can see by the white gaps how much. I suppose I made it what you guys would call a compact
-
That pontiac would be a great starting point for a modern version, similar to what they did with the mustang and challenger. If your going to be restyling others can post the challenge of doing a G-wiz,

This is the revell street burner version. I swapped out the engine for a big block from a 60's camaro but kept the monte's induction. The suspension has been lowered as far as possible without cutting the chassis or arches. The paint on this one fought ma all the way to the end, and just when I thought I had it beat the screen snapped. The interior is stock but I did it in white and tan. The wheels are from aoshima.

I did this one with duplicolour cans. The roof was done with red and gold dust coats, followed by the black which was sprayed on the sides of the body to get the fade effect then a piece of lace was laid on the roof and a further dust coat of black was sprayed over and the lace removed immediately after that.

I guess you could say I'm old enough to know better but young enough that it doesn't matter

Finished this up a few weeks ago. It's a aoshima datsun skyline with most of the chassis from a ut models opel calibra dtm racer. I had to chop off the front of the calibra chassis and replaced it with the front from a beretta pro street chassis after the calibra was too wide to fit the tyres inside the wings. The engine is from the calibra but I added a pair of hobby design turbos with scratch built pipework which all connects to the intercooler, and converted it to twin spark. The radiator is from my parts box. The turbos have individual oil coolers and are plumbed in. The interior is mostly stock apart from a pair of seats from a fujimi ferrari and a couple of mods to the door panels to fit it in, and is flocked to give a sorta singer porsche look to it. The wheels and tyres are hobby design 19" ssr's. I really need to go back and paint the badges and fuel fillers on the side but I don't want to make a mess of the paint.

I've done a few, and have some more in progress. First up, a new bug converted to a pick up with a 911 engine in the back Next up is a hasegawa kubelwagen (the bugs wartime version) with a type4 turbo engine And finally a 66 panel van, box stock other than paint and a slight lowering of the front to level it out
-
Hobby design do engines and parts for tuners. Clearly scale have some 1/24 v8 engines that look nice
