Thin Tape That Will Stay Put.
stitchdup replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Tamiya corner tape. its white stretchy tape with a smooth finish or you could try aluminium heating tape. Its similar to bmf in appearance but its much thicker and once its stuck its on for good. I'm not sure how it would hold paint though as i suspect it has a protective coating on it so that might affect some paints. it comes on large rolls and it has other modelling uses. It does crinkle easily -

If you have an anycubic m3/m3 max with the auto feeder there is a easy fix when it doesn't work. The bottoms of the resin bottles have changed slightly so now the feeder gets jammed against the bottom and cant feed. If you compare the air feed pipe to the resin pipe under the feeder cap, you will notice the resin pipe is a couple mm longer. This is causing the feeder to block when the cap is tightened so what I've done to mine is trim the 2mm off the bottom. I only figured this out after getting a replacement part from anycubic and it still had the same problem. since i now had a spare i had nothing to lose by trimming the old one. the downside is it will leave a little more in the bottom of the bottle but the upside is no more manual refilling. I'm sure the same repair could be done by filling notches in the bottom of the feed tube. I first tried to make a washer for inside the bottle top but it wouldn't seal tightly enough to work

How to do a candy fade on model cars
stitchdup replied to Brockc's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
You dont need to mask if its a simple fade, and it can be easily achieved with rattle tins if you do the fade first. This was done with hok hot pink as the final colour but the first colour was white primer (I wanted a brighter pink than silver or gold would give) then I did the fade along the bottom of the body. I find it easier to lift the body up so the paint dusts under it instead of over the top while painting. I used blue for the fade and i only really hit the body bottom edge with paint, the rest is just the fog from spraying the blue. Then it was onto the final colour over the top of it all. The bright blue bottom edge wasn't planned, just a bit of luck after i lowered the body down to paint the pearls and clears. The only masking done on this was for the roof. If you are using solid/opaque colours it can be done the same way but you would do the top colour before the fade -
better still look at the till before you pay and save all the bother

Here's a crazy topic: anyone on here have a Faraday wallet?
stitchdup replied to Monty's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
if the place looks dodgy just use cash and claim it back later. the hidden scanners are mostly on things like gas pumps and cash machines. most now have a one piece cover so if theres any edgesor colour difference go elsewhere. the scanners, that grab your card data, you heard of are for the cards we use in europe that have a chip and pin. even those need to be within 2 or 3 inches to work and i'm sure you'd notice them as it takes a few seconds to read them. easiest way to be absolutely safe from those scanners is to carry your wallet on your inside jacket pocket. I'd be more worried about your phone because in reality because it carries a lot more info than you think. also dont do facebook quizes to find your porn name, its a scam to get your memorable data for loans -
Cool veedubya, especially a south american version

A bit of body work. I couldn't get the chassis low enough so i've printed out one for a slammed pick up and will cut it up to fit. Because i got ditched the chassis it left me with an issue of how to mount the fenders as they mount on the chassis. To sort this i took some inspiration from the figoni and falaschi pre war cars and now it has fenders that will mount to the body. Theres 2 weeks work in the fenders and there are 3 open ribs running the length of the main body. I might add some chrome trim to these to make them stand out. I have the same detail on the centre console

It sounds to me like the issue isn't in ukraine. there are various malicious apps that route your web traffic but when you go to pay it sends you to their own payments pages. if the problem was in ukraine they wouldn't be taking payment in florida which leads me to think you have a malicious app on your device. I order from all around the world and the payments are always taken in the home country. when i order from hong kong, the payment is taken in hong kong and the same for every other country. if your business is in france you wouldn't take your payments in brazil.

I would use a toothpick or cocktail stick. when i've tried to use a brush i end up making a mess but using toothpicks i dont have enough paint on to make a mess

it should say fujiwara tofu shop, the animated series initial d is well worth a watch if you can find it. lots of drifting, touge and tuning and a decent story line.
