  1. My daughter is home from school for a week. So we’re in Hocking Hills OH doing some hiking for a few days. The views are amazing! Absolutely breathtaking. But the absolute best part of this trip is just being together with my wife and kid. Love those two so much!
  2. I was 9. We didn’t even have a Target in the area, but Kmart was a favorite of mine. And Murphy Mart.?
  3. Yeah, they can be a bit pricey. I have a few of the smaller scale boats. If you watch, you can get them pretty reasonably on eBay. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $25 for one. The bigger ones are way above my budget too. I’d love to go to that Lake Tahoe show. I’ll check it out online.?
  4. Check them out here: https://www.dumasproducts.com/?product_cat=boat-kits The old wood boats are works of art. Love everything about them. Including that classic inboard sound. If you’ve ever been around one when it started up, you know what I’m talking about. One of the best noises in the world!?
  5. Me too. Have you ever looked at some of the Dumas boat kits? They're all wood. I have a Chris Craft started. Someday I need to get back to it...
  6. That looks really cool Tim. I like what you did with this one. This kinda throws a little more fuel on the fire too. I'm still kicking some ideas around. The more I think about it, the more I want to create a fictional factory stock race car. Like it could ordered that way. My model building plans change from day to day, so we'll see where I actually end up. Thanks for sharing all those beautiful builds!
  7. Must have been “race car day” at the junk shop. Also stopped by Ollie’s on the way home and picked up the ‘40 Ford.
  8. Ollie’s in Angola IN. I got the last ‘40 Ford and Ford tri motor.
  9. That’s awesome! Looking forward to seeing what direction you go with it.? Yup, there was a split second after clearing all that paint off when I looked at it and thought “barn find!”
  10. Well deserved! I hear those kits fight you all the way.
  11. Wow. That’s just gorgeous. Excellent craftsmanship!?
  12. Since that’s a Firebird floor pan, you should be able to see clear through to the other side for accuracy.??
  13. Great color and excellent craftsmanship. Love it!
  14. Cool backstory and even cooler model. I’ve never seen this kit before. Really great job with it.?
  15. Man that is one sharp Mustang. Great color. Nice job.?
  16. That’s really cool. Super nice build.?
  17. Have you ever heard that album? A friend of mine picked it up out of curiosity years ago. If you haven't heard it, check it out. It's hilarious!
  18. I had completely forgotten that stuff. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Mail call. Those old tires did a little damage to one of the clear parts and the decals. Decals would be shot anyway. On the upside, it’s complete and unstarted. Black and red parts are even still bagged.
  20. Thanks very much guys! David, I recommend it. Honestly, for an old kit, the molding is pretty decent. And there are a lot of building options. I also think it would make a great platform for anyone into scratch building. Heck, I want to see someone stuff an engine in the front of one of these! And to top it off, they're dirt cheap right now. I picked one up for $5 at Wal-Mart on clearance. Ollie's has them for $12.99 right now.
  21. That's a great looking build. Really good details and perfect color. Welcome to the forum!
  22. Nice job. That color is great.
  23. I can tell you first hand, that's the truth.
  24. Just shot a couple of primer coats on this. Looks like I still have a little more work to do before painting.
