‘70 Corvette ZR-1 rims
atomicholiday replied to atomicholiday's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That looks really cool Tim. I like what you did with this one. This kinda throws a little more fuel on the fire too. I'm still kicking some ideas around. The more I think about it, the more I want to create a fictional factory stock race car. Like it could ordered that way. My model building plans change from day to day, so we'll see where I actually end up. Thanks for sharing all those beautiful builds! -

Must have been “race car day” at the junk shop. Also stopped by Ollie’s on the way home and picked up the ‘40 Ford.

That’s awesome! Looking forward to seeing what direction you go with it.? Yup, there was a split second after clearing all that paint off when I looked at it and thought “barn find!”

Well deserved! I hear those kits fight you all the way.

Have you ever heard that album? A friend of mine picked it up out of curiosity years ago. If you haven't heard it, check it out. It's hilarious! -
I had completely forgotten that stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Mail call. Those old tires did a little damage to one of the clear parts and the decals. Decals would be shot anyway. On the upside, it’s complete and unstarted. Black and red parts are even still bagged.

Thanks very much guys! David, I recommend it. Honestly, for an old kit, the molding is pretty decent. And there are a lot of building options. I also think it would make a great platform for anyone into scratch building. Heck, I want to see someone stuff an engine in the front of one of these! And to top it off, they're dirt cheap right now. I picked one up for $5 at Wal-Mart on clearance. Ollie's has them for $12.99 right now.

For not planning very well (your words not mine), this project is mind blowing to me!?. Fantastic work. I love seeing the creativity around here, and this ranks right up there.?
