  1. I’m sort of stuck on this project until I figure this out. I want to paint the bumper and square headlight bezels chrome, but I’m not sure what the best way would be to mask them off. How would you guys do it?
  2. This is one of my upcoming projects I hope to get painted before the snow flies. I have some ideas, but not sure if decals exist. Actually I have two ideas for this build and right now I’m undecided. 1. What I really want to do is shoot the van black and get some flame decals that cover most of the sides. something like this: I’ve looked for decals, but everything is smaller, set up for the sides of cars. 2. Another option that could be cool would be find decals of a mural for the sides. Something very 70’s. Like it came straight out of the movie Heavy Metal (just an example). Do decals for either of those ideas even exist?? Let’s kick some ideas around for this van.
  3. Lucky! I’ll find one eventually. By the way, it’s good to see you back!?
  4. Every one I’ve seen built so far has the engine hatch mounted open. Apparently there’s a clearance issue between the hatch and engine. I haven’t dug into it yet to find out what the problem is. But there’s no way I’m leaving mine open. I’ll go curbside before I do that. Hopefully there’s an easy fix. Let me know if you find an easy fix and I’ll do the same. Man, I really need to get back to this one. Just not getting the bench time I want lately.
  5. Nice score! I’ve been after that Ferrari for a long time now. Just can’t justify what they’re going for on eBay.
  6. That’s looking great! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.?
  7. Hit a couple of flea markets this weekend and picked these up.
  8. Men at work were awesome! Cargo is my favorite from them. I can't get enough of the song No Sign of Yesterday. Also, as an addition to my list (yes this will put me over five too ?) - David Lee Roth - Eat Em and Smile. Some truly amazing musicians coming together for an outstanding album. It was also my first concert.
  9. This has probably already been mentioned, but I’d consider giving up a vital organ for a ‘74-‘76 Firebird, Formula, or Trans Am.
  10. Someone really needs to build this! So cool. Any takers??
  11. Just came across this at a flea market. I think these are really cool.
  12. Awesome job! That is really cool.
  13. I gotta say, I've never seen one of these in red, but that color really suits the car very nicely.
  14. Super-cool is what I'd call it! Great job!
  15. One for the guitarists!
  16. The Real Thing was an insanely good album! So creative and unique for its time. And Master of Puppets? I heard it for the first time when I was sixteen. It was a new album at that time. It was almost a life changing experience for me back then. Wish they were still putting out music like that one.?
  17. A fellow metal head! I have a feeling our music collections look very similar. Nothing at all wrong with any of those! They're some truly great classic albums in that list. Heck, Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands. I tend to lean towards Animals. Some great stuff posted by everyone! Let's keep it going and maybe some of us will discover a new favorite album from other members.
  18. So you’re stuck on a desert island, you all know the rest. List out your top five favorite albums of all time. Here’s my list in no particular order. And if you feel like it, tell us why you picked what you picked. -Outfield - Play Deep -Ozzy Osbourne - Ultimate Sin (Jake E Lee is my favorite guitarist and he was on top of his game for this album) -Gary Numan - Telekon -Fastway - Trick or Treat motion picture soundtrack.(one of my top five movies. I saw a lot of myself in Eddie Weinbauer) -Great White - Once Bitten (Mark Kendall, another terrific guitarist)
  19. Absolutely gorgeous. Great workmanship.?
  20. Nice clean build. Looking great.?
  21. This is one of my all time favorite kits too, and you absolutely nailed it. That's just gorgeous. The paint is really striking.
  22. Nooo!!! Ban yourself!? (Oh wait, one of my current projects is curbside…) Ok, you can stay.?
  23. Those look terrific. Sandblasting you say? Looks much best than just sanding the treads. More realistic since it gets down into the tread pattern.?
  24. I use the vallejo metal color a lot too. That stuff was a game changer for me. Brushes beautifully, looks great, nice variety of metallic. It's hard to beat the stuff for detailing.
