Great color. Are you going with or without fenders? I have one of these in the stash too. I'm hoping to recreate a hot rod my dad built in the late sixties, but my skill set is nowhere near ready yet. Anyway, cool project. I'll tag along.

Interesting. Wonder what the story on the Impala is?

Show Us Your Work Bench

I can think of a few times when having a large hammer at my bench could have put the finishing touches on a model. -
Show Us Your Work Bench

You should have seen it a little over a year ago. Actually, you couldn't see it. It was all piled up with clutter. Absolutely no room to work on anything. Now I clean it up every couple of weeks so it won't end up like that again. It's over due now. Nice set up you have too by the way. Looks pretty organized. -

Is it like a BBE sonic maximizer? I’m not familiar with the 3bx.

Thanks very much guys! I really appreciate the encouragement and positive feedback. It’s been an interesting summer, with lots of ups and downs. Overall it’s been a great experience, and it’s starting to pay off. You said it brother! You can watch all the videos and read every related thread you can find (I have) but nothing beats just doing it again and again and again. Not too many years ago I would have put this one back in the box. But I’m at a point in my life where I won’t accept workmanship that I’m not happy with from myself. I’ll keep working until I get it right (with a little help from my internet friends). Anyway, thanks so much guys! Appreciate you!

Looks like a really fun project! The weather is really turning fast here. So I’m trying to get at least one more paint job done before it’s too cold to shoot outside. I finished the color coats on this one today. I really need about two more weeks of good weather (doubtful) to get decals on and then shoot some clear coat. So it may or may not get cleared yet this year. Time will tell.

My first WIP here; '70 Dodge Challenger T/A, Parts

This is looking really good so far. I LOVE the color! About 20ish years ago I had this kit almost finished, and screwed up the clear coat. Put it back in the box and haven't looked at it since. -
Clear coat between decal laying.

Really good question. I’ve heard both schools of thought on this. Should be interesting to see what others here think. -
Just finished polishing this one. It’s molded in red, and bled through in a couple of areas, but I think I can live with it. Still needs some detail painting, but it’s getting really close now. Uh oh. I better find an excuse to shelve it pretty quick, or I’ll break my streak of not finishing builds.? Here’s a sneak peek mock up.

Just discovered this thread. It’s looking really good so far!?. Can’t wait to see your progress. I’m working on the same kit now. It’s been on the back burner for a few months, but I’m planning to jump back on it soon.
