I just added this one to my growing stable of 68/69 Fairlane/Torinos. It was an impulse buy, probably paid too much for it. I should have waited and ordered one from Modelhaus. I'm still looking to score a 69 Cobra hardtop and a 70 Cougar.

There's two Hobby Lobby here in town, and ZERO hobby shops. Regardless, why would anyone not take a 40% discount? SMH

This was a simple build to try get me back in the groove of building. I think it worked, knocked this out in three weeks. I haven't finished a build in a longgggggg time! Now, back to working on the 30 started kits I have going. Which one is the question.

The hood sign has been in use for a long time. It was originally designed and built at General Parts & Service in Lansing. My dad worked in the shop there for about 30 years, I worked the parts counter there for 3-4 years. It's cool they are still using it!

Yes, the H&M built 1965 AFX Mustangs used the factory door glass with chrome frame. Most of the H&M cars were converted to the Shelby R-Model lightweight door windows with aluminum frames during the '65 season.

I started this awhile ago, an ambitious project building the entire west coast team; C-850 ramp truck, trailer, Mustang and Torino. I've recently got back on the job, making some progress on the truck. The sleeper and bunk are done, the tail light panel is done, but I'm not happy with it. So that will be re-done. I have several of these kits, and yes the chassis is useless for building an accurate replica of the Bronco. The body is also not accurate to build ANY version of the AFX Mustangs. The problem with the body, besides the huge hole in the hood scoop, is the front wheel openings. The real Bronco did NOT have a "stretched" nose, the length was not changed. The front wheels/wheel openings were relocated 4 inches forward. The kit does have correct 10-inch relocation of the rear wheels. I'm freakin' religious about keeping the man cave door closed at all times, the cat could really do some damage. I never dreamed the dogs would do this. Very weird! I'm shopping for a replacement vert now.

Maybe my dogs are trying give me a subtle hint....spend less time modeling and more time with them?

I've always been fascinated in the ultra-rare '66 GT350 convertible. So I recently picked up a decent '66 convertible that someone had already partially Shelby-ized. I figured I would repaint it Poppy Red or and add either white or gold stripes, white interior maybe. Sapphire Blue and Emberglo are on the radar as well, a Hertz edition would be cool too. But, my plans got sidetracked today........

I'm looking for some resin copies of the CJ hood scoop found in the Revell 1968 & 70 CJ Mustang kits. Thx Ron
