  1. Looks great! Now I got to run to the store because I just figured out what's for lunch!
  2. That was the molded in padding on the kit roll cage!
  3. That is a real beauty! I captures the feeling of the era of true custom cars. Without going overboard on the modifications like so many did back then! I believe the 58 was a vast design improvement on the 57 platform! I liked that it broke away from the big round taillights (even though they went back in a BIG way in 59 LOL)
  4. Another Hudson creation by Chuck! I could only imagine what Hudson would have done if they had Chuck in their design department back then!
  5. Great look! I can almost see it heading down the flats! Also has that "Car Of The Future" vibe going too!
  6. Looks fantastic! Looks like it has sat in the weather for a few decades then drug out of hiding and cleaned up! Guess what they nowadays term as a "barn find"!
  7. Hey! Haven't they heard of "snow tires"??? I mean they have "rain tires"!
  8. I think they choose me! They just seem to appear and I feel sorry for them and have to help them! Without it in you hands you really don't know or rather can't tell if it is savable. It all depends on how much damage has been done by the original builder as to what to do with one. Some maybe are a subject that you might want to put back original if possible. Others is there is too much missing and too parts hard to find you might say "custom" or "hot rod" or maybe dirt track car, etc. I don't know if there is really a standard answer to that question. Guess it is all in the eye of the beholder or even based on a builders abilities. I know sometimes you lose one after tying into it and finding it's too far gone or as I had happen recently just mess up!
  9. Sharp looking GS!
  10. and one more! I didn't like the chassis and interior setup they had so used a parts kit (69 Cougar) for chassis parts and interior bucket.
  11. Thought I would keep this theme going a bit longer!
  12. That one is purdy! John! I love those kits!
  13. I'm not either but this was a "Honey Do" for the wife!
  14. One would think that some reverse engineering could be done on the Johan kits. I'm sure there are people out there that have mint kits that they would consider letting be used for that purpose. Lord knows they would have customers for them!
  15. Jon, my wife and I used to put the puzzles together and then use puzzle glue on them. Then I would back them and our son would make frames. She was selling them at yard sales for more than we had in them!LOL
  16. Tried to replicate a long lost build but finding the original parts I used would have been cost prohibitive. Picked up this old Revell kit in a package deal and went to work.
  17. This was built 100% out of the leftover parts box!
  18. Nice mellow look! It stands out by being so simplistic and real!
  19. Chuck! Is it just me or is your basement full of Hudson kits waiting to be built??? That one is fantastic!
  20. Great color combination! Takes me back to when seeing these cars was an every day experience!
  21. That is sweet Craig! Love the color and the look!
  22. Really nice build! This one is on my "honey do" list for my wife but I would have to convert it to a 4 door to be like the one she has a picture of her dad's when she was a kid. Hard to find kit plus expensive to get!
  23. Panther Pink! Model Master Lacquer.
  24. Built from the Landy Kit. Decal failure with microset cause it to go into the closet for about a decade before being redone to a street version.
