  1. Thanks Les, I will check them out
  2. @Sandboarder - I have actually test fitted the flairs out of the Aoshima kit that I have. That was another step in trying to do this build. And by the looks of your work, it does make a nice build up without the flares. Taking the flares out of $50.00 kit, especially when that is the look I like, makes it tuff. @Leo64 - I did run across the Cults3D site in my search. Yea, they are expensive and I dont know any people with a 3D printer. Except maybe Shapeways.
  3. @ Sandboarder - I have a Aoshima Liberty Walk kit and that is what started this idea. But Id rather not take the flairs out of it, so , at some point, build it as a Liberty Walk car. @Stitchup - I tried to find Aoshima flairs but was unable to come up with anything? Do you have a link to these flairs? @ Fat Brian - I was looking for more of the "over fender" look like the Liberty Walk cars. @ Ace-garageguy - Thanks for the link. This is the direction I wnated to go. But your link sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole and found other flairs that I like. Thank you all for your input. I do appreciate it Jeff
  4. Thanks Bill. I was just looking to "lighten" the amount of work that this will take.
  5. @Brian - I want to put the fenders on a Studabaker. @Bill - Yes, I could make my own but this project has so much work already, Id like to get a set and move on to the other parts of the build Thank you for your replies
  6. Hi all; I have a project in mind where I want to use Liberty Walk or Rocket Bunny type over fenders. But Id rather not pull apart a $50.00 Aoshima kit for them. Does anybody know of sommeone, either casting/3D printing just the fenders? Thank you Jeff
  7. I turn 64 in another week. I did a 71 mile bike ride today (thats a pedal bike, no motor), with 3700 ft of climbing. And I didnt come home and flop on the couch. Its all good!
  8. Wow! Nice Build! Very clean build. ?
  9. That is a really nice build! I really like it
  10. That is really clean. Nice build!!
  11. That is a stunning build. Great job!
  12. TaxDude; A Colnago! Very nice! Ive never ridden one, but I know people who own them and they swear by them. That is a brand with some serious history
  13. TaxDude, if we were closer, Id be out riding with you. Cycling is my #1 passion. I do 100-120 miles a week. 6 weeks ago, I just got a new Cannondale Synapse, so I can do some gravel riding. Cause there is a ton of state land near me. Jeff
  14. See you Sat morning, Ted
  15. I have that exact spray booth. I have a (semi) permanent spot for ot, so I hard lined the exhaust to the window. I also duct taped all the corners. It makes it a little stable. I cover the inside with paper and change it before spaying any bodies Ive been using it for about 2 years now, spraying lacquer, enamel and acrylic. I am completely satisfied with it
  16. This is a great looking truck, very realistic. I also enjoy the longer descriptions of the build. I learn a lot from them. Thanks for sharing
  17. Nice job!. I really like the side trim you did.
  18. Looks like your patience passed the test. Very clean build. Good job!
  19. The Liberty Walk cars seem to have a love/hate relationship with car guys. I really like them. And I really like your version. I think it looks good without all the lettering you see on a lot of the real cars. Nice job!

    Woody

Nice start on this car. I really like how the wood came out. Any pointers on how you did it?
  21. Wow! that is really nice. Ive always liked these cars. You did a great job.
  22. I totally agree with unclescott "Don't let the internet trolls scare you away. Your reviews belong here. " I appreciate the effort you make. I have bought kits kits because of what you doing. Keep up the good work

    65 Comet

This is a really clean build. That color just makes it! Congrats
  24. I did shake the can for a minute or so, I also warmed the can in hot water for a couple of minutes, then shook it again. (this is my normal practice) I did this both when I was trying to spray from the rattle can and before decanting. I suspect that this is just a bad can of paint, as I have never seen this happen before. Im just trying to find a way to use the paint
  25. I sprayed it as thin as I possible could. The first coat barely colored the parts and yet it just ran down the edges. Ive never seen paint this thin
