  1. Try a tea strainer, about $3 at walmart
  2. Yep. That's good news for me
  3. Dorian will be paying me a visit this weekend. I I'll have my shutters up and the generator is ready to go.
  4. I was married in Woodstock...the "Hippy Priest" (Father William Francis, the former archbishop of NY) presided. His church had an original Gutenburg bible!
  5. I'm curious...it looks like the air scoop centered (left/right) on the hood. On the 1:1 my son had, it was off center towards the passenger side. BTW, the scoop wasn't for aspiration, it was for the intercooler.
  6. Instead of a tooth pick, I use a small strip of balsa...it absorbs more lacquer thinner, and any paint accumulation can be easily cut off.
  7. It appears I'm overdue for an eye exam.
  8. Absolutely stellar work and results. There's a kit error that could have been addressed...the wheel on the spare tire has lug nuts; there should be holes, not nuts.
  9. A fresh Xacto #11 blade will work.
  10. A fine-tooth comb might also work, either as a silly-putty mold or burnishing/back-filling aluminum foil. BTW, there is a difference between Silly Putty and Play Doh...Silly Putty does not leave a residue, Play Doh does.
  11. Use the same approach that produces emblems...burnish some aluminum foil on a vent, back-fill with epoxy, sand/trim to fit.
  12. Very crisp and clean. Great job!
  13. Beautiful job! Is it my tired old eyes or are the mufflers not connected to the header pipes?
  14. Excellent workmanship and photography. Thanks especially for keeping the number of photos at the right level...too many builders provide way too many photos.
  15. Nicely done! Why are there so many duplicate images?
  16. I HATE how Photoshop clutters up my images with their advertising...
  17. Perhaps an adaptation of this tutorial might be useful http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102629-bending-tubing/?tab=comments#comment-1652081 PS: I HATE how Photoshop puts their self-promo in my pictures!
  18. Look at some sites that supply tracks for armor.
  19. That 4-holer is turbo charged. My youngest son had an 85 (not the 85 1/2)
  20. Also consider a brass color...a bit lighter than copper/gold, but (depending on the color of paint) might be a better contrast.
  21. They remind me of the "knee-action" shocks I had on my 1:1 '47 Chevy.
