  1. Thanks Herman! This is my project except mine will have the setback front axle. It is the old flat windshield cab that I think 48 or 49 was the last year:
  2. Thanks Hermann! Those are all of the newer cab that believe began in 49. Do you know if the chassis were basically the same on the 48 and back trucks? Those restoration pictures will be a huge help if they are. I will definitely use those as reference.
  3. I'm in need of some old Autocar reference photos if anyone has them for an 40s model old cab DC 75 or DC 100. I mostly need interior and drive train reference pictures. Maybe some inside shots or under hood shots, or may be underneath. I know this is a long shot but I thought that maybe someone like myself takes tons of reference pictures at truck shows and maybe caught one of these. I may just have to use creative license if I can't get any pictures. Thanks, Brian
  4. I could look at this for hours!! First of all I'm a "Red Power" fan, so any IH truck is a great subject choice. This thing has so much to take in, from the small engine on the rear, to the engine details, from the floor mats to the hood latches, this thing has it all. True Craftsmanship at its best!
  5. Excellent work! It looks great! The weathering really adds to the look.
  6. Looks Fantastic!! Great work!!
  7. Amazing! I can almost here it run. Excellent work!!
  8. I've only actually seen a couple of tilted ones in person myself and they didn't even have modified oil pans on them, or they didn't look to be modified. As many short hood trucks as there used to be on the road they were most likely pretty common at one time. I like where this build is headed! Great work as always Tom! Looking forward to seeing more.
  9. Do you guys ever just want to build a simple build without tedious plumbing? I do sometimes. I picked a new cab with all the chrome and interior parts for $16.00 on Ebay a while back. I picked up a built chassis for $20.00 at a swap meet a few years ago. There's no plumbing on this one except for the back of the cab. I shortened the built frame and swapped out the wheels with a 4070A. I swapped the engine for the IH V-800 to be different. I modified the battery box to better represent a B-Model. I built this one in one week. The only aftermarket parts are the intake scoop and decals.
  10. Thanks for the kind words!! Thanks! I like to photograph out doors. I like the natural lighting. Thanks JT!! Thanks so much Hermann!! Thanks Chris!! Thanks Sam!! Thanks Carl!!
  11. I like what you've got so far! Looks good!
  12. Beautiful build! Very clean and very realistic looking! Great work!! I like it better without the stripes on the truck!! Great work!
  13. Looks Amazing!! You have really brought this one to life!
  14. The details on that look very nice!!
  15. Beautiful work Jeff!! On the exhaust, have you considered making those manifolds center dump and mounting the turbos in the center of the top of the manifolds?
  16. I hinge most of my cabovers like Brian and Jim have shown, but I often use brass doll house hinges from Hobby Lobby for hoods. I take 1 hinge and cut it in half for 1 hood. Here's the Louisville. I'm not sure if you can see it. But try zooming in. Here is a U model done the same way: Here is a White 9000 that you can see them from the front.
  17. Great looking fleet!! I think that the cabover KW is my favorite. Great scratch building on all those trailers!!
