  1. It may be that these trucks just weren't very popular in Canada. Around here they were pretty common in the 70s. They were called Japanese Freightliners because some of the parts (I'm not sure how many) were made in Japan. They were cheaper than the Freightliner from what I've read and that made them appealing to freight companies. The company that my Dad worked for had 3 of these and also an early Road Commander which was just a dressed up version of the 7400.
  2. Pat, I don't know if you remember, but I built a daycab one of these 3 years ago and you sent me some parts to finish it, some lights and horns I believe.
  3. That is an all around beautiful build! The photography is awesome!!
  4. Thanks guys! I never like the old square cabs either back in the day, but now they are some of my favorites. The interior is done and a few other odds and ends have been done now.
  5. Looking forward to seeing this one!
  6. Looking forward to seeing more! On the ladder it should bend back pretty easily, if not, you could make new ones from wire.
  7. I like day cab cabovers! Looking forward to this one!
  8. This is going to be a cool project! Looking forward to seeing this one!
  9. I have one of these to build some day too. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one!
  10. I like the short Aerodyne! Looking forward to seeing this one done!
  11. Great project! Can't go wrong with a Kenworth!
  12. This one will not be anything fancy. It will be a replica of a truck that my dad drove when I was a kid and I rode a lot of miles in this one too. Standard AMT kit, 8v-71T Detroit. Five hole steel drive wheels. The truck that I'm replicating had 10 hole hubcaps on the front, so I will go with 10 hole wheels. Front bumper, fans, and intake stack from Double Take Replicas. Five hole steel wheels on the trailer too. I'll be using one of these for the truck. This Ertl kit for the trailer.
  13. Exactly!! Great work!!
  14. Awesome looking build!!
  15. Thanks for all the comments! Starting to make a little headway with this one now.
  16. It keeps getting better and better!
  17. Beautiful build! I really like the paint scheme!!
  18. Man that looks good! I may have to change scales! The spoke wheels were the right choice for sure!
  19. If you act fast KJ at Double Take Replicas still has some 8v-92 valve covers that work great for a 6v-92 f you cut them down. Here's mine.
