  1. Now that is a Truck!!! Excellent work! The weathering is top notch!
  2. I second Model Car Mountain. When I quit building a little over 15 years ago I sold most of my truck collection to him. I’m not sure if it was Model Car Mountain then but it is the same guy. I named what I thought was a reasonable price for us both at the time and he paid cash. No hassle of shipping or checking in on EBay. Yes, I have now purchased more kits than I had when I sold out. So much for giving up model building. I have also sold on EBay without issue too other than the time it takes.
  3. Beautiful build Chuck! I always like your stories too! Great story with a great build!
  4. Looking forward to what you come up with! I’m sure that it will be great!
  5. You are right Force, I have two of the original cabover kits with torsion bar suspension and they have K123 on the box. The only difference on the box is that is says “torsion bar suspension” instead of “Hendrickson extended leaf suspension.”
  6. Awesome looking beast of a truck!!
  7. Thanks Ken!! Thanks John!! Thanks Tom!! You build some cool stuff as well!! Thanks again for the kind words!!
  8. Beautiful build! I like everything about it!! Do you remember what color green that you used on the interior?
  9. I like these trucks. I built one a few years ago with an 8v-71. One thing that I have ran into on this cab and the Louisville cab is that the interior buckets narrow at the bottom which doesn’t leave much floor board when you add the dog house. I opened the doors on my Diamond Reo so widening the floor was a given, but I just widened the bucket floor on the Louisville. You should be able to make that 6v fit real nice. You may also consider turning the compressor around and running it off of a belt like in the 359 kit and running the alternator off of the front of the engine which will give you more room. I pretty sure the remaining item on the accessory drive is the power steering pump which can be ran off of the front or done away with. I think there is an oil fill back there too that you can remove. Also I would recommend against using the AMT hood hinges if you want your hood to open properly.

  17. Oh Wow!! That looks Awesome! Many of those photos could pass for the real thing! The weathering is perfect! Top notch work all the way around!
  18. Excellent work on the bed! I really like your hitch. Some of the guys around here would use fork lift booms to make a similar style hitch. I had planned to build another over the road toter sometime but have never gotten around to it.
  19. Thanks for all the encouraging words guys! Been working on the interior a little.
