Beautiful build! I like everything about it!! Do you remember what color green that you used on the interior?

I like these trucks. I built one a few years ago with an 8v-71. One thing that I have ran into on this cab and the Louisville cab is that the interior buckets narrow at the bottom which doesn’t leave much floor board when you add the dog house. I opened the doors on my Diamond Reo so widening the floor was a given, but I just widened the bucket floor on the Louisville. You should be able to make that 6v fit real nice. You may also consider turning the compressor around and running it off of a belt like in the 359 kit and running the alternator off of the front of the engine which will give you more room. I pretty sure the remaining item on the accessory drive is the power steering pump which can be ran off of the front or done away with. I think there is an oil fill back there too that you can remove. Also I would recommend against using the AMT hood hinges if you want your hood to open properly.

Excellent work on the bed! I really like your hitch. Some of the guys around here would use fork lift booms to make a similar style hitch. I had planned to build another over the road toter sometime but have never gotten around to it. -
Looking good!

Thanks Pat!! -
Thanks guys! After the hood seemed to get a little soft in Bleachwhite, I wasn’t sure how the cab was going to do in Purple Power. I used that instead of Super Clean since I understand that Super Clean is stronger. It removed the paint pretty well without harming the resin at all after about a 5 hour soak. I used a toothbrush and Comet to clean the cab and then used self etching automotive primer. That solved 99% of the problems. There were only a couple of very small fish eyes this go round. Interestingly I used the same color primer and the same can of paint and it seems that it came out a slightly different shade than the hood that I painted two days ago. But here it is. We will see what color the breathers and the bed turn out.

I hate when I do something that I know better than doing!! It all started when I soaked the hood overnight in Bleachwhite. The hood seemed to get soft. I’ve read that some casters don’t recommend soaking overnight because they say it will reactivate the resin. With this I opted to simply wash the cab. Even after washing this milk jug like resin is so slick that Gorilla Tape will not even stick to it. I should not have went on and painted, but it was a pretty day and they are getting fewer with colder weather coming. To make a long story short, it is soaking in Purple Power now. We will see if it survives. JT, here is a sneak peak at the color that I “Hope” to finish this thing in. It is hard to tell in the picture but the paint is turning loose in several places.
