  1. Sharp Build! I like that jeep.
  2. Looks Good so far! I well remember the blue aircleaner on those little Datsun's.
  3. So! Who Does? Got any WRC or Subaru's?
  4. I hear your Frustration, Chad. It is irksome to try to sell at a show, and then lose money. That is one reason I suggested a really huge show, far away. Chances are better that the more sophisticated (and deeper pockets) buyer you need is there. Also, if you are up for trading (or at least trying to trade) list some of them in the "Trades" section of the Forums. You might be surprised by what happens.
  5. Great Weathering on this old Dodge. I drove a '73 Dodge similar to this back in the '90's.
  6. Coolness personified! Cannot wait to see this in solid form!
  7. Very Sharp Scout! I like the Add-Ons.
  8. Great Work, Joe. NIce to see the enthusiasm you bring to this build.
  9. Jason, nothing wrong with a well written rant. Glad you will get your parts though. Thanks for the follow up.
  10. Chad, if you are going to a model show once a month, and not getting many sales, maybe your prices are a factor. I understand your comment.. But, the truth about selling stuff (any stuff) is that the prices have to be worth it for the buyer, not just the seller. It sounds like your kits might be worth more to you, than the potential buyer....... I sold quite a few kits last year on eBay. It was a dismal failure. Not worth the time or effort, and in the end I realized very small profits, so I hear your complaints. Ebay has ruined selling on-line, and recent USPS increases in shipping rates only make the problems worse. I'd say that despite your comments about Smartphones, I'd get a Facebook account on your computer (not phone) and sell that way. You could try the local Craigslist, but that is hit or miss, too. Truthfully, There are fewer & fewer ways to efficiently sell off kits that are not "High End" in value. For $100.00 or more kits, it can be worth the hassle, but $10.00 to $50.00 kits it is harder and harder to sell them, and make money. Lastly, my own biggest success in unloading kits have been going to Big Model Swapmeets in Southern California. It is a 2 hour drive, and it does take some money and effort, but I have always made money and had fun. You might plan a weekend trip to vend at the Biggest show that is within a 3 hour drive, and plan to try to sell everything. Rule of thumb is that you will sell the most valuable kits in the first 2/3 hours, and sell steadily after that. There is another small surge after lunch, and by 3 or 4 pm, it dies off. That is when the 'dealers' may try to buy you out. I have done both options. I've sold everything to a dealer, and gone home with just the cash and a few kits I bought, and I have lugged home boxes of unsold kits. It all depends on how you feel, and how well your kits sell. I wish you luck!
  11. Awesome Build. Is that a 'real' Mustang colour option from back then?
  12. Thanks, Mr. Mopar. I like the kit despite it's well known issues.
  13. Very Nice! Thanks for sharing.
  14. Some kits I noted. Revell is bringing out another version of their new Landrover tooling, this time with the proper hood with the spare tire on it. Miniart is getting a whole lot of versions out of their new "Lanz Bulldog" tractor tool. Just by changing Wheels/Tires they have gotten several kits. MPC, to judge by the Box Art will be releasing the '81 Camaro in the "Turbo Z" edition!! AMT is supposed to issue the old '67 Mercury Cyclone GT kit. That should upset some collectors. A whole lot more there, too. Should be a great year for kits!
  15. Thanks for sharing the photos. The Trailer Tires are very interesting.
  16. Would this be the old "Yankee Challenger" Kit!
  17. I really like hos this build is turning out. Great work.
  18. Wish, I did. The decal sheet in the tin box version is the best one for that kit.
  19. Indeed yes. If you are old enough to remember "Laugh-in" (1968-1973) P.S. I was 10 in 1973, so I barely remember the show.
  20. Wonderful Non-Answer! Won't slow the rumors, but is good for a few chuckles!
  21. Yep, Those are the ones I have!
  22. Well, Wes is apparently deeply involved in the the new Asphalt Modified from Salvinos JR. So, he is becoming an 'insider' at least to some degree. But, we are talking about 2 different companies, so there is a big, huge 'Grain-of-Salt' to be taken with all this internet gassing. Until Steve G. or Jaimie, or Chad tells me something, it is not a fact. And , Steve G, has been truly Awesome this past year on spreading the news about new kiys, as soon as he can. So, I wait until there is more than 'interweb rumor' before I go off half-cocked.
  23. That is a superb build! I like the paint scheme.
