  1. My local HL has been the at the same size for Models since it opened. About 9/10ths of an aisle. The Resets are just a changing of the planogram on what kits are stocked in what slots on the shelf. Should be fun, although most of the May R2 kits are already on the shelf. June should be a fun month.
  2. Randy. Preach it, Brother! You are SO right. I've seen similar stories with Drag Racing cars. Raced on Friday Qualifying with the "Good, New" body. Crashed on second run of day. Ran in Finals on Saturday with back-up body, hurriedly trucked in from L.A. overnight. Came in third place on Sunday still running back up body. Stuff happens, and the 'posed' pre-race and post race photos of the same car can show variations in both markings and build details.
  3. Nice Build. It looks used, but not abused.
  4. Platform does NOT move. Kit is VERY simple. Can go together without paint in under 2 hours. (which was the goal for most T.D. kits then)
  5. Right On, Sfan Goch! You nailed it. Just like 'cozy' is Realtor slang for Not Big enough to swing a Cat.
  6. That would be roughly 3 to 4 MM (Millimeters).
  7. Harley Richards from Britain did this one several years ago. http://www.showrods.com/gallery_pages/garbage_pickup.html He notes the size issue.
  8. Heck Yeah! Send about 6 of those. You can NEVER have too many XR-6's... I have two of the original XR-6 kits, Four of the '27 Firetruck versions of this tool, two My Mother the Car kits(also from this tool) and a half dozen of the later versions of the touring, including the Hillbilly Hotrod. It is a fabulous kit. Needs to be brought back restored. It would be nice to see the firetruck version back as well.
  9. All three of these kits share the Chassis, Engine and stock wheels. Monogram got a lot of use out of these tools.
  10. I have one. Great kit. About 60% of it still exists. Wish Revell would restore it. Notgonnahappen, though.
  11. I remember a reviewer in 1988, writing in one of the car magazine, saying that the shifter worked "with all the smoothness of a baseball bat in barrel full of coconuts". It was such a memorable phrase, that I still recall it, some 30 years later.
  12. Sweet! Great Colour on the outside.
  13. Your son has great taste. Look really Sharp.
  14. Izzat that Revell "Snap" Peterbilt? It sure is a great build!
  15. That sprue with the radio is indeed the same as the S&H kit. It makes a nice bonus.
  16. As far as I know, your only choices are the Imai kits from the 1990's. Revell only does the 1959 Caddy. However others may know much more.
  17. Try SEL )Scale Equipment Limited) or Fireball Models.
  18. Thanks for the assist, Cap'n. It is really the 4 spoke and the older kit(wrong as the body may be) that I am looking for.
  19. I can't tell. The box is shown open, but all parts are sealed in bags, including the tires. The tire bag should have been my clue. It has to be a newer kit. https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/52143045
  20. Any Idea where the MPC-706 boxing falls in the tree oh DOH Kits. I found one, but can't tell what's in it. Is molded in white, if that helps. No Date on the boxtop.
  21. A huge Shout Out to Bob Downie for the Detail Build of the Revell Bronco. He used the resin Olsen Brothers roadster door inserts, and they look great. Bob, do you have any other pics of the cutting and blending on those inserts, or a copy of the Olsen Bros, Instruction sheet. I'm going to have to build one of these roadster Broncos, after reading your article. Thanks, Alan
