  1. I also had a 73 Delta 88 and it was a great car(good looking too).
  2. That pic is actually from SCRWDRVR's post(Dover,DE.), ours still has 59 El Camino>
  3. There you go!
  4. Get used to that picture, it rarely ever changes. It's crazy how every HL across the country has the exact same kits in the same spot on the same shelf. I was at ours today, and I think even the same spots were empty. It's like the Twilight Zone.
  5. I don't know, but I wish that Camaro was there so they could measure it for a new tool 75 I'd kill for one of those.
  6. I haven't painted a model with it yet, but I did paint a plastic spoon. Over Tamiya gray primer it looks(to me) a lot like the pinkish color that was used on a lot of 57 Chevys. I think it was called Dusk Rose, or something like that. A gray/white interior would look good. I'm saving it for my Revell 57 Chevy sedan that will have a white top.
  7. I think I'll give them a shot. I've got plenty of Tamiya "Mark Fit" decal solution. The decals are over 20 years old, so I don't know how good they'll work anyway. I can always use the hockey stripes, I like them too.
  8. And the Stude still had a more modern look than the Fords.
  9. No pics here either. I was wondering why it's in the Trucks section. Is it a Trail Duster?(just kidding)
  10. Are you using a recently purchased Wet Look Clear? Someone here said that they've changed the formula, and it's no good now. I think they just screwed up their paint job, and blamed it on the clearcoat. The WLC I've used has looked great(like yours does).
  11. Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. OK then, how 'bout a Corvair?
  12. I love the color, I'm doing a 69 Camaro convertible in hugger orange myself!
  13. Why do I get the feeling that there's a hugger orange 69 Corvette in our future?
  14. I like the no console look. I'm building the RS/SS convertible in the same color, but I think I'll do the seats in white with the houndstooth decals. I hope you use the rally stripes on the hood/trunk, I want to see how they work on the cowl hood bulge.
  15. The Tempest looks great, but I think that if you have a stripe on the front, you gotta have one on the back too. Of course, that's just my opinion, and it's your model.
  16. Yep, that's what I've always heard them called.
  17. I don't know, they're called "rally stripes" on the instructions, and they're used on a lot of other Chevys from the late 60s-early 70s that aren't Z/28s, so I think rally stripes would be a better term for them.
  18. Yeah, I've got both original(I think) kits too. I'm starting on the convertible now, and would like to use the black rally stripes on a hugger orange car. It just seems to me that with the stripes, being straight, would not end up straight with the extra surface of the sides of the hump in the hood.
  19. Has anyone used the rally stripe hood decals on a 69 Camaro? I'm wondering how they work on the cowl hood? It looks to me like you might have to cut the decals, and paint the sides of the hump the color of the decal.
  20. Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just get the AMT 61 Ford kit?
  21. I'd vote for any of the 57 Oldsmobiles, I think they were the best looking cars to come out of 1957.
  22. That's what I was thinking! They are just starting the 3-D scanning process, and they're already whining about Revell putting the wrong wheels in a new kit. I have a huge box of almost every kind of wheel you can imagine, plus another hundred kits with extra wheels in them, so as far as i care, they don't have to put any wheels in it at all. JUST MAKE IT!
  23. Looks like the pre-painted kit to me.
  24. It worked great the last time I used it. I guess ,maybe the can I used was an older one, so I'll test it before I use any of the newer cans. I asked the question because in the previous post Bills72sj said he picked up some Wet Look Clear before it goes away. I've been buying up the Model Master Ultra Gloss Clearcoat before it goes away, and because I like it better than the WLC anyway.
  25. Why is Wet Look Clear going away? I thought it was just the Model Master paint that was being discontinued.
