I recently built the Trumpeter Falcon, and I love this kit. I did it as sort of a street rod, with a teardrop hood, mags, etc. and it turned out great. The plastic was so smooth and shiney that I didn't even paint, or polish the body.

I Love the color, what is it called, and does it come in a spray can?

Thanks, but I might have solved the problem. I just tilted the front of the fender unit up a little, and the rear of the body up little, and that tightened the hood up a lot. The problem is that when the body and fenders are placed all the way down onto the frame there is a bow in the center of the car that pulls the hood away from the cowl, but the body and fenders look fine. It did raise the stance slightly, but that I can live with.

If the front fenders were seated farther back on the body, the wheels would not be centered in the wheel openings. The hood fits fine at the front grill area, but it needs to be lengthened back to the cowl and doors.

I'm also in the process of building this kit. This is a great kit, and everything went together perfectly. I lowered it per the instructions and everything lined up exactly like it should. I'm almost finished with it, and it looks great, except for one thing, THE HOOD DOESN'T FIT! I have the exact same problem as Helmut, the hood will not reach the cowl. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing helps. I was ready to buy the other two versions of this kit, but I don't think that will happen now. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I ran into a guy, a few years ago, who had gotten 3 large bankers boxes full of old model magazines from a relative that had passed away, and he wasn't interested in them. so he sold them to me. I've got all of the Plastic Fanatics, and SAE from issue #1 from 1980 to 2011+, and lots of other interesting stuff. I'd rather help someone out, who might need some old issues to fill holes in their collections, or just want some really interesting pieces of model car history.

Like I said before, If you need any back issues, I've probably got them, most in new condition, and I'll trade for model car stuff.

I've had a few leak like this, and I still used them, and they seemed to work alright.

I just used some, and it seemed fine.

If anyone needs any back issues, let me know, I've probably got them, and I'd gladly trade them for something. I've also got a ton of other old modeling mags that I'd also trade(Plastic Fanatic, Car Modeler, MCM, etc.).

I thought it was the Model Master line that was going away, not the Extreme Lacquers.

I also ordered the Chevelle from them yesterday, and got the shipping info this morning. I kind of like the FedEx shipping too, I hope they're less destructive than the USPS. I haven't ordered from them in a long time, but I used to buy a lot from them when they did $15 off a $50 order, and free shipping. I wish they would do that again, 2 kits for less than $40 was a great deal.

If you can find a part on Shapeways you're doing a lot better than I can. I typed 1/25 model car parts into the search bar, and got over 1200 pages of every kind of part of every scale you can imagine, and very few were really model car parts. Their parts look good, but their website stinks!

My HL had restocked the 4 dr. Impala today, and I noticed that they had the new issue Revell Jeep Rubicon that Dave mentioned. Beside the stock wheels and tires, what are the new parts(if any)in the new Jeep kit?

Try Krylon Rose Gold(big can or short cuts). It looks spot on to me.
