  1. One mighty fine looking super-stocker, love those door slammers. Also like the way you used $ for the SS designation, seems only fitting.
  2. A Porsche funny car would definitely be a rich-man's game. Looking forward to the rebuild.
  3. Good looking Ford. I am working on a full custom version.
  4. Some really nice pictures. I am torn between the '56 Chevy and the '65 Chevelle; I've owned each of them and let them get away.
  5. Sweet little altered, some real fine modeling. You said you need traction bars, you may also want to consider some wheelie bars, otherwise you will be playing "dead-bug" after a hard launch.
  6. OK, I will give that a try.
  7. I would think a Nova bumper or maybe a Camaro or Firebird could be modified to serve the purpose.
  8. Over the past couple weeks I have been having trouble submitting replies to forum posts. When I hit "submit" nothing happens. Sometimes I can go back to another post, come back and it will submit but at other times it does not. When I do come back there is a black bar across the bottom of the post saying, "clear editor?" If I click on that one the message disappears. I am logged in, so that is not the problem. Any suggestions? Edit: It was a bit slow when I hit "submit" on this post.
  9. Very well done. Truck looks very believable.
  10. A Christmas gift in 1959. I built it and took it apart several times. The next one was a 60 Mercury that I paid $1.39 for. After that one it is all a blur, I started receiving models for birthdays, Christmas and any other gift giving days. But mostly, I bought them with money I earned mowing my Grandma's yard.
  11. I've never worked with scale rivets. I think you can buy them by the sheet from an aftermarket distributor, although I do not know which one. Maybe someone else will chime in with an answer.
  12. Going to be a killer short tracker. One suggestion: if you are going to use the 180-degree exhaust, you may want to build an interior heat shield around them, they do emit quite a bit of heat. Looking forward to updates, I really like this style racer.
  13. Wish I had known about this show. I would rather been there than the conference I was attending. Actually, I would rather have been at the dentist without Novocain than where I was.
  14. Very nice pair of Chevrolets. Colors complement each other quite well.
  15. Nice pictures. When was this show? I was just in Maggie Valley this past weekend and all I saw was a bunch of motorcycles. Love that '56 two-door wagon.
  16. Very beautiful build of an even more beautiful car. Nice job.
  17. Buses here in NC had stop arms and child protection arms on the front bumper since at least 1998 when I started driving, and I am fairly sure a few years before that.
  18. Going to be a sweet little coupe. Here is another for inspiration. Saw him compete at the SEGA event at North Wilkesboro Dragstrip back in May.
  19. Looks really good from what I can see under the dash, has the effect of a woven carpet.
  20. Beautiful little Maverick, very good job on the masking and painting.
  21. Very pretty little bucket. Like the color. Makes me want to get some of these projects I have started finished so I can build a couple of hot rods, one being a T-bucket.
  22. Alright Sam 'fess up, how did you get that woven effect on the carpet?
  23. Looks like a set of Hooker (?) Purple Hornys in the trunk. Had a set of those on my '72 350 C-10 for two days, that is as long as I could stand them. Not sure what I did with them but was glad to get rid of them.
  24. Will be installing this into my '80 Pinto as soon as I start work on the interior. Boxes say made in China. I've had these pieces for 14 years; I originally bought them to put into an '83 S-10 but never did.
  25. I was kind of thinking of something along those lines. Thanks for confirming the process.
